I really didn’t enjoy the fish and chips. I ordered a special fish called the king, it was £9 along with chips and large curry with a bottle of pop, the total order came to £13+ the fish was well over cooked only the middle could be eaten, the chips tasted old. The curry was nice that’s the only reason I’m putting 2 stars. It’s a real shame as the fish was a great size of meat but I can’t help but feel it was a waste due to incompetent chef 💔I will not return to this fish shop in the future.

Travelled all the way up from Sheffield to eat here.Have visited Kingfisher on many, many occasions in the past and it has always been a very good experience.Excellent fish and chips, beautifully prepared. Service very good indeed from staff who as friendly as could be.

Lovely place. Friendly staff. They have Gluten Free Fish n Chips option which is great as my wife is Coeliac. Also gluten free bread to have with it. Very nice, tasty meals. Definitely recommend.

Called in on Saturday afternoon and were lucky enough they could fit two of us in without a booking.The staff were lovely and the service was great .The fish and chips were excellent, as good as I've ever had, would definitely recommend.I had the large haddock and chips, I've no idea how big the special is but I struggled with the large, managed it through 😊

Great fish and chips done the proper Yorkshire way eat in or take out there is a good range of take out meals some on preorder as you enter. 3 sizes of battered haddock but the smallest is a standard size and always delicious highly recommended

The food was very nice and the portions were adequate. It was of concern that there were a lot of elderly diners and we were all squashed in, and the staff didn't seem to have any common sense about making space for you to pass them. It's almost like they're oblivious to covid measures. We won't be returning in a hurry.

We have visited this fish restaurant for many years and we still supported them through the lock downs as take away customers from the side door.However, it was lovely to be able to visit the restaurant again and the see the smiling faces of the staff and to chat to them.Needless to say, as always, the service was superb as we're the fish and chips!

The fish and chips were amazing. Also the size of the portion is really good for the price. But some of the staff seemed not so professional. Would request the staff to be kind and patient next time. Rest everything is fine.
