Stopped for lunch on our way up the A1. Good service and food.

Superb all round, polite friendly staff, excellent food and plenty of it. Couldn't ask for better.

Really enjoyed our ladies meal out at the Kyte. The food was delicious and I would certainly recommend it.

Went to the Kyte yesterday for lunch, hadn’t been since it changed hands. Very disappointed, ordered their fish and chips for myself and my wife. When it arrived to say we were disappointed was an understatement, the fish was small and the chips! Well,there was nine on the plate. We persevered ate the meal, not great. When we questioned the portion size, £15.95 for each meal, and were told that was the size that was served. They did ,however, knock £5 of each meal. In conclusion, we were regular patrons up until covid, sadly we won’t be going back, a great shame as we got married there 3 yrs ago.

Went with friends for a catch up. The food was delicious - I had the chicken livers and black pudding, it was so tender. For mains I had the duck which was cooked to perfection. The restaurant was tastefully decorated with tables spaciouslyapart. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive. On the whole a very good evening. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Lovely food and good service. The menu was limited as it was just post Christmas but the food we had was freshly cooked and tasty. Generous portions. It was my birthday celebration. The only downside was that there was a major family disagreement at another table in the restaurant which went on some considerable time with shouting and swearing and family members storming out and back in and out again. It spoiled an otherwise lovely evening. Sadly the restaurant manager did not intervene at any point. The evening is therefore memorable but for the wrong reasons. It wouldn't stop us going back as the food and service was good and the prices are fairly reasonable. Just think hotel staff need to more cognizant of the impact guests behaviours can have on other diners.
