Mama Mia in Wakefield

Terrific staff, and great atmosphere but, and I mean this as nicely as possible the food was merely mediocre… the scallops where raw, the ravioli were very watery and falling apart and the didn’t even have Peroni on Tap as they said it was broken🤷‍♂️, it’s a shame because it is a very nice environment apart from the food and a very dirty bathroom, I shall come again to see if it’s any better as I don’t blame the staff I just think there food could do with a little more attention.

One word. Superb. Food is èxcellent so well prepared and plentiful and all piping hot. Creme Bruce desert was to die for. Well done everyone. Thank you for a lovely.meal.

What a amazing family run place. The service is fantastic it was very busy but the staff were very attentive. I had fillet steak oh my goodness it probably one of the best fillet steaks I've ever eaten. It was stunning!! I would highly recommend. What a fabulous place.

A very busy place...which is normally a good sign for a restaurant...not a bad price range for the meals and very nice staff....the only fault is that everything was to salty....not sure if it's to make you drink more..🤷🏻‍♂️..shame because it spoilt the whole experience ...

Being vegetarian i was really happy to see many options for me to choose. The ambiance was fantastic and very lively. I will give thumbs up for food and service. The fresh home made tiramisu was show stopper and superlicious.

What a fab night we had for my sons 18th.There was plenty of communication from the staff in the lead up to the event, on the night they were very attentive and friendly.The food was beautiful and the atmosphere was brilliant.

Excellent food and service. We celebrated my wife's birthday and had a great night. Staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely bar and restaurants areas, great atmosphere. Will most definitely return.

Mamma Mia is a fantastic Italian restaurant. The lounge/bar area had a lot of seating and our drinks were served promptly. We ordered our food in the bar area before being seated in the main restaurant section. Even without booking beforehand our party was seated very quickly and our food arrived in a short period of time. Bread was placed at the table, along with our re-order of drinks. The Pasta and Pizzas ordered were all traditionally Italian in look and taste. The Pizzas were very thin and crispy, along with the garlic bread. All the food was tasty, especially the pasta. In inside of the restaurant was amazing. The faux Italian building roof on the inside was a much welcome addition to the atmosphere of the restaurant, along with the music. I really enjoyed my meal and the experience at Mamma Mia Pontefract.
