Nando's - Castleford in Wakefield

I don't usually go to Nandos but this is where i ended up today. I ordered the double burger and fries.First i noticed there was ketchup on the edge of the bread. Not supposed to be any ketchup.The bread was very tough. Trying to bite through it required so much pressure everything got squeezed out. I abandoned the bread and just had the chicken but it was very dry.The waitress said "no thats the bread they use for the burgers". Does that mean someone at Nandos thinks this is a good idea?£13 to feel like I'm eating yesterdays bread and yesterdays leftover chicken.I have been to Nandos maybe 6 times and twice it has been a bad experience. 1 star because when it goes wrong the staff argue that its right.

We went as a three one reconstructed their food ate it went home got in bed and then the other two meals came out. Overall great experience 🙂

Ordered a grilled chicken pitta and when the order arrived, my chicken was cold. I called over a member of staff and told her about the cold chicken. She then picked up one of the chicken strips and squeezed it in her hand probably to test how cold it was. She then offered to replace the meal. I requested that that I have no mayo or rainbow slaw on the next sandwich due to an allergy. I asked at the counter that the order be plain, but as the restaurant is run by kids, I got what I was given. When my new meal arrived, although it was warm, I again had rainbow slaw inside my pitta. I brought this to the waitresses attention and she said I asked for salad. Correct, I did ask for salad, but I got rainbow slaw. Because of my dissatisfaction the waitress called for the manager who said that all the pitta Come with rainbow slaw. I went in to tell her that I asked for plain salad, but she stated and pointed out that the pitta came with this, despite my request for plain. I was then offered a free side order or a pudding to compensate, but I didn't want this because we only popped in for a bite to eat. At this point we had been in the restaurant for 40 minutes. I asked to be refunded but this request was denied. Shocking! I picked out the 3 chicken strips from the pitta and ate them and the chips on the side.. Your manager was disinterested and refused my refund. Money mad, profit mad company who don't give a stuff about a customer journey, as long as your parting with money that pays to employ young workers who don't want to be there.I will never visit Nandos again.

Fitted us in quite quickly on a busy Saturday evening. Food nice and delivered quite fast. Only slight downsides were some drinks machines out of order, and the room was slightly smokey....

Great food at Nando's Castleford. Staff we're excellent especially Kayleigh. Restaurant was clean and great atmosphere with the cleaner lampshades!👍

Chicken platter extra hot was great. A massive portion of fries. Very busy and a 20 minute or so wait for a table. But worth it

Food was cooked really nice. Service was ok. Wasnt that attentive but it was busy. Had to wait for a table and they initially said 45 minutes but in thecend it was only about 25 mins. So not too bad. Would recommend a visit.

The sunset burger was a good choice but the chicken wings were not flavored enough. Generally, it’s good for a quick meal but still has space to improve.

Only Serving Take away food on the day we went. No Menus available to choose items from so had to hit the website to choose. Common side items unavailable eg. corn on the cob.Got the meal back home. The food was cooked but the chicken wasn't cooked to the same quality as normal. The chicken skin looked anaemic n the Peri Peri Fries were limp!Wish I had waited for Tacos at Taco Bell!

Great food as always. Good service too. I did feel that their dishwasher needs a clean as I had to send a glass back that I felt wasn't clean - you could feel tiny bits left on it but other than that it was great. Can't beat a cheeky Nando's.
