New Inn Walton in Wakefield

One of our favourite pubs in the area. Bonus that its dog friendly. Food is great, service is super friendly and prices are reasonable. Honestly couldn't wish for more.

Very good range of food and we all really enjoyed our meals and were . Very friendly and attentive staff with great eighties background music. I can see why it is so popular and will definitely return.

I’ve visited the New Inn many times; however, it’s been a few years since I’d been to the area, so I dropped in for some food and drink. The Inn was full of locals as always, so there were plenty of familiar faces to see. The Inn has been updated recently; the furnishings are even higher quality than before, with more space to eat etc. We managed to find a table by the bar and ordered some food; it came in good time and looked and tasted great. Even though the staff were busy, they were helpful and smiling at all times; I need to make an effort to visit more often. If you want somewhere that serves proper food, with a high-quality interior and ambience to boot, then make sure you try the New Inn!

My first time in whilst seeing friends for my 50th birthday food was amazing the pashion fruit cocktails was delicious and most of all staff was absolutely friendly as anything. Can't wait to come again. Xxxx

Went for a Christmas lunch with my friend, service was fantastic and so was the food. Did not need to book, would suggest that you do as gets very busy at times. Great food and good prices. Two floors and down stairs toilets and bar. Waiters services provided, both well mannered and polite. Made my Christmas

First visit, what a fantastic place.food was excellent not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Great service,alĺ very friendly staff.will definitely be back. 😁😁

The food and service were very good. However, I had phoned beforehand to enquire where we would be sitting as we were a group of 9, and explained that three of us are in the 'vulnerable' group. I was assured our table would be fine, otherwise I would have cancelled. In fact the table was in the middle of the bar area, albeit with panels surrounding it, but no masks worn by all except one of the waiters/waitresses, and generally very busy around us. I would have left straight away had it not been a long awaited family occasion. Such a shame, we enjoyed the meal but it was tainted by the concern about lack of consideration. I wish I had cancelled a week ago. I have never been to the New Inn before so had no idea about the geography of the building. Probably the place to go if you don't have to worry about Covid.

The service and food were fantastic and reasonably priced. It was busy but we did not have to wait long for our food. There was a great festive atmosphere. Recommend booking. Monday tea and there were only 2 tables left.
