Nilakash Tandoori Takeaway in Wakefield

First order tonight despite living down the road and being given numerous recommendations! Excellent curries. Not oily or greasy like some takeaways can be. Portions are generous and leave you full but not uncomfortably stuffed. Highly recommended. 👍

Ordered a chicken Pathia and onion bhajis. Both very tasty and good value for money.

We regularly travel here from Barnsley as in our opinion it's the best Bangladesh/Indian takeaway around. Been coming for years and always so full of flavour, it does get busy but well worth the wait. Thanks to all the team for a brilliant service.

Ordered online and my order was ready to pick up on the dot of 30 minutes. Chicken Tikka Masalla, Chicken Karahi, Chicken Tikka Rogan Josh and Chicken Bhuna. Very tasty. Will definitely return soon.

***UPDATED REVIEW*** Scroll for info on new BBQ packs 👍Family run takeaway - amazing tasting food - lovely people 😁These guys have just started selling bbq packs, £20 and so worth it. Just give them 24 hours notice and you get the most amazing marinated chicken legs, wings, chicken tikka, kebabs and lamb chops that are out of this world. Cooked them up on our weber bbq as per the instructions they come with and had the best bbq we've had this year. Was easily enough to feed all 5 of us 😁 cannot recommend enough, get one ordered before they stop selling them!!

We've only moved to the area and have tried most local curry places. We know our way around a curry and tend to have them fairly often.I held off writing a review until we'd had a good variety of dishes. We've had 3 seperate orders now and all have been exceptional. I had high expectations as the place itself always smells incredible when we walk past. The food did not disappoint. We've tried a variety of dishes from milk and creamy to hot and really quite fiery. There's a great range and huge choice. The chilli rice was also noteworthy.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to other locals.Infinitely superior to the "other" commonly recommended curry place nearby.

We've been going to Nilakash for umm.... over 20 years now! Always great service, lovely people, great food. We moved house 7 years ago and still order from there, despite being surrounded by takeaways! Highly recommended. ❤ Thanks for being so lovely and delivering fab food!

Absolutely stunning bit of food. Onion bhajis are to die for. Only thing I would say is the medium I got was a bit mild so would probably go hot next time.Updating. A year down the line. Still amazing. I travel 10 miles for this place. Phenomenal

Pizza smelt like it was cooked a week ago and left in a cupboard and curry was disappointing. Less than 10 minutes after delivery the pizza is on the bin and ordered another from elsewhere. Will not order again. Don’t waste your money, go to Abduls...

Great curry's, been going here for 20 years now.Would be good if they brought some new curry dishes out as they have been the same pretty much since the start.Be aware though that 30 minutes is usually 45-60, but other than that, everything is perfect
