A great local boozer, with an excellent restaurant and good traditional but tasty food. They also have some excellent deals on the meals, but you need to checkout their website. It is popular so recommend booking, if full phone the boss as they can normally get you a table.

i cant believe how meagre the portions are on the sunday dinner. I'm not knocking the meat, that was sound. the accompaniments were the issue, literally 3 shreds of cabbage, a spoon of mash and peas, and 2 roast tatties. not £11.49 worth of food

Called in today for lunch, absolutely beautiful food and the service and friendliness from the staff was second to none…felt so very welcomed. Will most definitely be back again…my 8 year old has insisted on that one

Called in on the off chance yesterday with my daughter..beautiful lasagne and side salad and the burger was lovely too. Excellent food and welcoming staff..very helpful when I asked about other dishes I was planning on trying on our next visit!

Went here for a meal on so called steak night .. welcomed in by nobody , and nobody was stood behind the bar either .. we were eventually seated and ordered our meals .. when my steak came it was the shape of a little rugby ball .. asked for medium rare and got blood red raw.. ended up leaving the steak as it was that tough and full of grissle I couldn’t cut through it ..Waitress was on her own and flustered as she was running round like headless chicken.. very poor meal

I visit this pub regularly; to eat, to drink and occasionally to sit quiet within and drink coffee whilst I work.The staff are fantastic - nothing is too much trouble, everything delivered with manners and the all important smile!Local pubs that serve lovely food with a happy and nice yet mixed clientele are hard to come by. This one ticks every box for me. Food way better than the price but most of all, the staff all make you feel like your the only one that matters and that goes such a long way! Long may i be a regular!
