I havnt always been a fan of thls place, simply because it needed a really good referb, food has always been well home cooked food and now its had its referb... Its lovely and clean very welcoming and as usual food perfect if your looking for a good wholesome meal.DEFFINITLY going back.I went with my friend for lunch this time but they gave a great family dining area with a secure play area outside.Oh and the price is very affordable 👍😁💗

Went here last night for birthday dinner with friend. Corned beef hash in yorkshire pud and steak pie with vegetables, both absolutely fabulous and plenty of it. Still had to have sticky toffee pudding and baileys cheesecake after, be rude not to 🤣. Good home cooked food 😋 yummy

We regularly travel to the Station as a family just for the food, it's always good quality and value for money. The staff are great and make everyone feel welcome. Will soon be back

Four of us had lunch there today, it came recommended from a friend of a friend.Our opinions were, quantity not quality.Boiled veg, mainly cabbage, piled high. Tasteless mash. Cardboard like pastry on the pie.Not for us I'm afraid.Surprises me greatly, in today's climate, that they don't do Gluten free. Another customer asked for a Sunday dinner without meat and with vegetarian gravy. They didn't do it so they walked out.We had a sticky toffee pud which had been warned up in a microwave and was dangerously, dangerously hot.If you like cheap and cheerful in very basic surroundings, this is just the place for you.Try Wentworth garden centre for an excellent lunch.

Lovely mostly home cooked food and large portion sizes I had cottage pie was lovely only complaint would be the Yorkshire puddings are not homemade some of my family had Yorkshire pudding and corned beef hash and this was there only disappointment. ...it is a nice warm friendly and welcoming place and even had radiators on !! We Will be going back.

A very lucky find. If there is an ideal English pub then this is it. You step back into the 80's without the cigarette smoke. Clean decor, simple food with generous portions, well kept cask beer and helpful staff. The customers make it special , old dears,dodgy builders, bluff Yorkshiremen and multi-generational families. My favourite part was the farmer who popped in for a point in his tractor.Worth a visit just to reassure yourself that the genuine pub experience can still be found.

Outstanding Sunday dinner and jam sponge and custard for a very reasonable £10.90. Ambles of food, prepared on time and COVID-secure environment on arrival. Can see this becoming a very regular thing.The pint was not sold by The Station but if you are curious it's Oakham Brewery JHB. A fantastic bitter avaliable at most outlets
