A comfortable environment with plenty of space. My family and several friends visited for a Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the prices were pleasantly reasonable. The food arrived promptly and each order was correct. We had several bills, each itemised, which was very helpful. There is a free car park for customers. We look forward to returning.

LocationJust on Leeds Road outside of Wakefield, relatively easy to get to. The exterior was fairly well kept.InteriorFeels like a chain pub, lacking that character but it was clean and in a good state of repairServiceWe walked in to be instantly told that there was a hour wait on food and to just sit wherever and order on the app. Throughout the night it was clear there was one chef, one bar staff and one waiter/greeter/cleaner. I felt so sorry for the team getting smashed but fair play they kept the place going and were super friendly and helpful.Food/drinkChicken platter - wow what a selection of chicken products; piri piri skewer, tandoori breast, buttermilk breast and nuggets. Plenty of chips and an ocean of sauce!Chicken and ribs - a good amount of food and the ribs fell off the bone!Mixed grill - a solid grill, only major issue would be the egg (but so hard to please everyone) and the quality of the sausage is questionableIssues with the food however was that we didn't get onion rings with any meal, there was no fried onion sizzling plate for the platter (it's kind of in the name so a bit embarrassing they forgot this) and the corn was very bland like it had been sat in water for hours.PriceOkay so this is usually a cheaper eat at around £7-£12 per meal and at half price the bill was laughably low.OverallI think this is a good example of getting what you pay for. Was it brilliant? not really. But did it deliver a good eat for a very small price? Yes it did. The staff are overworked and the quality of food could ve enhanced but overall, given the right conditions, I would return for a casual meal but nothing of note.

This pub is lovely. We’ve been going for a number of years and Liam and Natalie are the reason we keep going back. They always greet us with a smile, asking how we are. They are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You can use the app to order food and drinks to your table which is really convenient. We’ve had lots of meals here and each one has been superb and really good value for money. I highly recommend this pub and the staff. We go in on Wednesday nights so can’t comment on staff there on any other night, but I’m sure they are all lovely.

Christmas Day dinner ! Where do I start ! Walks in to tables set as they are weekly for a normal pub meal ! Just a knife and fork on a wooden table ! Not set out for Christmas theme no crackers no atmosphere nothing . Disappointed as I’ve eaten here for years with my family ! Food was a disaster my full family wasted it all ! Frozen basic Christmas dinner . Couldn’t cut through the beef , vegetables was Terrble . Then onto dessert again we wasted it all . Smallest square piece of choc brownie wat was like eating glue ! Horrible along with the ice cream . A complete rip off for the price £41 . I’ve eaten a nicer pub meal through the week for £10. After complaining about all food to manager all we was offered was a round of drinks ! It says it all when the couple on next table to us also said there food was horrible and didn’t stay for full three course ! Full on disappointment
