Absolutely lovely pub, what let’s this place down is the horrifically rude blonde Sharon Mitchel lookalike behind the bar, this lady has zero customer service skills, vile attitude towards non regulars/locals and if she is the landlady she needs sacking. If you ended up reading this you should feel very very ashamed of your horrific attitude and rudeness.

Food was nice. Drinks were good. Very expensive, but the customers they had in were pretty stuck up and were judging me and my partner. A empty bag of coke/drugs in the toilet. The staff didn't seem like they wanted to help us get a table for food.

My Wife and I went to the Bar/Restaurant for a Sunday lunch. We found the surroundings very nice, the interior is tastefully decorated , extremely clean and well presented and the Staff are very helpful and friendly. You are able to see the Chefs at work in the kitchen, which to me as an ex-chef is a great idea. You can see how clean and organised the work areas are.The food was well presented, nicely cooked and both tasty and filling. We asked for mixed meat and were given a nice portion of the meats of the day.The mashed potatoes were creamy and soft, the vegetables were cooked just right and the gravy tasted like a real rich gravy should. We were asked if we required any more of anything and were treated with respect. On the whole , a very enjoyable afternoon .I would recommend The Boot and Shoe to anyone singles, couples or families as they will catered for and given a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The pub was full people were also sat outside it was Saturday night. It could have done with more bar staff they just seem to focus on one room. The far room you just stood there waiting for someone to come and serve

Food was 5 star 90% of staff were very good the elderly barmaid with long hair and glasses needs some customer service skills sat with our puppy cava poo came over the owner as just phoned you are on camera take your dog down off the seat 😏 the owner was behind the bar we drink there quite often but had our daughters pup Amber with us today you need to retire saw another customer not happy but not my place to comment.

Some staff were very abrupt, not all staff. We were told there would be a 30 min delay on food, but had to wait 1.30hrsTold by one lady working behind the bar, the pub was only for the locals.not sure we would eat there again, didn't feel that welcome and food seemed a little over priced

Lovely atmosphere with real fires and my mum's black led range. The staff are friendly and helpful ( suggested we take advantage of their special £30 meal/drink offer saving us money) and our meal was spot on. The pizzas are to die for. Will be back soon. Highly recommend you try it out.

Visited with my friend on Saturday and had the Pizza/wine deal. (And a few of their lovely Gins) It was really good. The food was lovely, the warm fire was very welcome, the service was great, the lady that looked after us was really lovely. The whole atmosphere was cosy, calm and overall perfect. Thank you.
