I had a lovely Saturday afternoon at the Calder and Hops. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely my favourite pub to catch up with friends. They have also accommodated our Xmas parties over the last few years catering for over 30 people and they were amazing. Thank you x

Good food which I really enjoyed but the service from the bar staff very poor nobody asked if the food was okay and the plates left on our table after we finished for nearly an hour.We was there between 13.00 to 16.00 and spent £120 in those three hours not even the glasses were left on our table like I said very poor service from your staff and my party I was with felt let down

visited for lunch on 10.03.22. Very nice and tidy pub , clean toilets and friendly staff.Food was fantastic sausage and mash and hunters chicken was spot on and great value and we had few cocktails 🍸 not bad selection . Will be back soon when we are in Wakefield again

Came to Wakefield for The Rhubarb Festival and came here for lunch. Lovely pub, very clean and friendly staff . A little wait but the pub was very busy. Could see they was short staffed but they did their best. Will be visiting again hen we here next.

Went in on Friday for a evening meal a couple drinks we ended up staying most of the night. we had great night with drag queen and the staff are nice and friendly. Definitely will be going back

Love coming here for a drink after i finish work, staff are always quick to serve and i honestly cant say ive met friendlier faces. Entertainment on a Friday is top tier, always a laugh. Couldnt recommend a finer place

Come here very regularly with family and friends and always a great night. Friendly staff, safe environment, clean and tidy. Drink options very reasonably priced and good selection. Eat here on occasion too and always enjoyed it. Personal favourite is the Hunters Chicken. Staff always ensure we are looked after especially Michael the manager.

I'm editing my previous bad review even though it was an awful lunch experience here cold greasy and late. The pub itself is really nice and great to sit in the window people watching. Also reasonably priced, but the staff could do with been a bit more on the ball with service as waiting over half an hour for food and finally getting it and it's cold! Like it's been sat on the side. That was really annoying especially when they're all just stood talking behind the bar.
