Cosy atmosphere, clean surroundings. Staff were friendly and knew their stuff. We went on a really busy night with several large parties in, so that could have hampered our experience. Our service was slow but ONLY because it was so busy. Starters - two burned black (genuinely, completely black. These were supposed to be the salt and pepper chicken). One was absolutely perfect - couldn't fault! Last one turned up ten minutes after the others and after we'd had to chase it.Mains were utterly lush - well cooked, tasted wonderful and were ample in portion size. We had a few issues with drinks service taking really long (remembering they were busy), but we only managed to get two drinks in just over two hours.Overall, a good meal, but potentially need more staff on busy nights in order to maintain what I'm sure are normally very good standards.

I arrived for a pre booked meal at 6pm and and seated at a table with a reserve sign on it 5 minutes later a man who said he was the manager arrived and said we we're at the wrong table and we needed to move to a table with no reservation sign on it just inside the main door, not a good option. We refused to move so he told us to leave. I put one star because I had to to leave this review but it should be -10 never go there again

Ordered two parmesans for take out, apprehensive with it being quite far from North East!! However, parmos were a decent size, homemade chips were absolutely gorgeous and garlic was amazing too. Thank you 😊

Burger was great i would say top 5 I had in UK so far, fries were massive but fantastic, coleslaw was very different in a good way, it was refreshing to see something basic like slaw being seasoned with herbs and spices rather than just cheap mayo, epic onion rings, top marks in those.Brisket was overcooked corn on the cob was raw which was a huge let down as this is simple thing to do.

If you love meat then this is the place to go,had the pig out platter,brisket was absolutely tender and juicy,the ribs just fell off the bone,everything else was just as divine 😋
