Have been loads of times for food at this establishment and today the food was something else... The batter mix used on the onion rings and chicken wings was so tasty... could not recommend this place enough when it comes to pub lunches!

We come here very often. Great place to meet up with friends or family. The bar area is dog friendly and its perfect after a walk in the park.

Room is simple and comfortable. Lovely helpful staff, good range of breakfasts with a lighter choice available. We came down too late for breakfast but still got made some breakfast! We even had help taping up a parcel, which was quite unexpected. Overall outstanding in our book. Looking forward to another stay next time we visit the area and perhaps to try a lunch or dinner, which I am sure will be very good.

Vegetarian Sunday dinner was very disappointing, not much on the plate for nearly £10. The stilton Wellington that came with it was just not nice, didn't taste fresh. My hubby had a steak sandwich that he enjoyed. Was good that we could take the dogs into the bar. All the staff were really nice, just a shame the food let it down

Enjoyed my day out at the Holmfield Arms meeting up with my ex work colleagues which we did four times a year before covid. The food was excellent at a really good price for the lunchtime special. All the staff were very pleasant and a good time was had by all.We will be back in February and do it all again.

Lovely rooms, quiet location, and restaurant next door which made it an easy and comfortable place to stay.Excellent value too.The gentleman on the desk who checked me in took my booking the previous day (Adrian) and was really helpful, noting the additional requirements and acted on them.Well done Adrian, you made everything easy for my disabled dad and that meant everything to me !!!The bathroom worked very well for someone with additional mobility needs though if these rooms are being updated in future, a wet room may be easier to use.

The staff at the Holmfield Arms are exceptional. They go to great lengths to help their guests, and have a positive, friendly approach which is refreshing. We stayed two nights at the hotel, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The evening meal was superb, and breakfast was delicious with a large selecting to choose from. The grounds are lovely. The only tiny drawback was the fact that on both nights, there were functions in the hotel in a marquee, and the noise was very loud in one of the rooms, so I would suggest if you are visiting at a weekend, request a back room as far away as possible! Music ends at midnight, but the revellers do spend a while saying goodnight. Other than that (and I must say, we were offered a room change but as we were not planning an early night we didn't bother to move), this hotel is lovely. Highly recommend.

Found this wonderful place, took the grandchildren for a weekend away to digger land, wildlife park and tropical world all in easy reach. They are having issues with the family rooms, ours felt damp our clothes and bedding felt damp, we did complain and we were assured they were rectifying this problem aft the school hols. I do hope so because it's a lovely place and the staff are absolutely wonderful. They have a restaurant inside the building which has great food, we ate there every night enjoyed it a lot. We got a good deal online and when I booked it I got 20% off dinner and evening meal but mention it when you order that you resident you get a code. The grounds are lovely to for a little stroll and a small kids play area to burn that extra energy before bed.
