August 2024 The Navigation Inn sub contracts it parking space to the infamous Parkingeye, and when entering into the bar area to purchase food and drink no one tells you that there is a parking charge if you dont enter your car registration. If there is any signage it must be very obscure so as not to easliy draw attention, I suspect this must be deliberate. We still got a parking fine even after showing our receipts for the food and drink we purchased, thus this appear to be a typical money making scam. Apart from this take my advice and avoid this pub, food was very poor, drinks were over priced and the beer garden smells like a sewage farm. Childens area and pub in general is very run down and clearly not maintained. Childrens area in particular is all rotten and not safe for children to play.

Great pub dog friendly food on average very good fantastic location great for children need more staff why do you have to wait 20 minutes to get served at the bar one person serving at the bar come on then you pay a ridiculous high price to be honest a bit old fashiond

Recently been flooded by nearby river so probably that's why they didn't have any cask beers when we visited. Meal was good, although we did seem to be waiting a long time to be served, and we were the only ones dining at the time - early evening, mid-week.Very helpful staff

Not for me. Poor choice of beers very basic furniture. Outside seating area ideal on a sunny day. There seemed to be many dogs 2 the landlords and others visitors. Little atmosphere.

Lovely traditional style pub. Very friendly staff, lovely black cat and huge friendly dog! Lovely outdoor space next to water.

What a gem of a pub, dog friendly (doggy menu), warm, clean, lovely staff, what more could you ask?Great canal walk too!

Very friendly people, plenty of out side seating and play area for the children. There's also good parking for cars. An excellent choice of drinks, and the food was very good. The only bad point was the service was a little slow. This could be due to them having a christening in another part of the Inn.

Nice place to call after a walk along the canal. There is aseating area under cover outside and a lot of picnic type benches to sit and watch the children play in the outdoor play area.Lots ants and flys around so we ate inside.Food nice and a good pint of John's for my partner.

First impression were that this isn't clean, one female bar staff were extremely rude! The food is overly priced for frozen food. This is a kids meal shown here, sausage and chips thrown into a paper bag! Obviously because of the cleanliness is lacking theres flies nesting in the building. To be honest it's not even deserving of a star but had no option for anything less than this!

Great little pub with a child friendly play area and tables outside so you can keep an eye on the children whilst relaxing.Just had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Navigation, staff friendly and food lovely.

Lovely pub sited beside the canal path - ideal for walks. Children's play area is small but good enough. Plenty of outside seating as well as that inside. Reasonable prices across the selection of draught and bottled drinks. Dogs welcome.
