Best Sunday lunch I have had in a while. Very friendly and pleasant ambiance. Want to go back and try the A la carte menu

I loved everything about this place. Very easy to find, nice and easy to park. Once inside you are made to feel very welcome and I found all the staff very charming and attentive. The food is first class, with some very surprising dishes on the menu along side more traditional favourites. With Steak Night, Burger Night and various other speciality evenings to enjoy, I guarantee that a return visit is aa must for me.

No non dairy options on a Sunday so we couldn't actually eat, there plus we were only told at the table despite having mentioned so in the booking. This was annoying as I have mobility issues and the extra distance required to and from the car was uncomfortable and painful. Looks nice though.

Pleasant surroundings. Friendly staff. The food is good, however I felt it was a little expensive. I had a vegetarian curry which was really tasty, the naan bread (if that's what it was, hard to say) wasn't up to much. My only other gripe was the plates weren't warmed. You must have hot plates with hot food!

Gorgeous boxing day afternoon here, with the family. Very impressed with the decor and surroundings. We had our own room ( 12 adults, 2 children) . Gorgeous soup to start, Gorgeous turkey dinner, ( very generous portions) unfortunately could fit in a sweet, but they looked gorgeous too! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Brilliant afternoon. Will definitely return!!

LocationOn the main road into Horbury, not an area I know particularly well but easy enough to find with a satnavInteriorVery clean and neat. The whole place felt quite rustic yet modern. Hard to explain but I was a fan!ServiceWe had several people serve us during our visit, each presented well and were polite and attentive. The black shirts (assuming management) were very keen on ensuring a perfect experience right down to apologising that the wine menu hadn't been removed with the food menus after we had ordered (which we hadn't even noticed). The only down point was that the food did take a little longer than we expected but it was well worth it when it did arrive so not really bothered in the end.Food/drinkLet's walk through the food dish by dishStartersFish cake - I didn't eat this but it looked great and the feedback was it had good flavour and was polished off quickly so I reckon it was a winner!Prawn cocktail - I felt like taking myself back to the 60s bit actually this was a great example of when outdated food is brought right into the 21st century and delivered well. Great flavour and fantastic presentationMainsRoasts - we had gammon on one and turkey with pigs in blankets on another. Then the rest was the same on both. A great selection of veg and a massive Yorkshire pud.For me the veg was a little too al dente. But that just personal preference, on the whole it was grand.Genuinely the best pigs in blankets I have every had and the turkey was so juicy and tender, couldn't possibly say it was the standard dry Christmas day bird.PriceIncluding drinks and tips we paid £24 each which isn't the cheapest roast I have ever had but it didn't break the bank and I really enjoyed it. Would reccomend a visit and will be back myself soon.OverallA class Sunday roast with great service in a lovely venue and a sensible price.

A great restaurant, well furnished. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. It created positive energy and felt nice to be there. Me and my friends went on burger night. Basically half price burger and pint deal. Astounding value. Will definitely visit again.

Service was very good, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Had a table for 2 on Saturday evening and had a really good time. Its been recently refurbished and they've done a great job of it.There's the bar area upstairs if you only want drinks or the restaurant downstairs if you're dining out, both refurbished to a high standard.Would definitely recommend paying a visit
