The Rustic Arms in Wakefield

We went here for a birthday and the food and service were bad. The staff were really young and seemed too scared to take any sort of initiative sorting or handing out the food. The starters took a good 30 mins from the first ones arriving to the last. So long that the mains were already arriving before starters had all arrived out. We had to send back the kids Turkey dinosaurs as they were raw. I mean even my 12 year old can cook Turkey dinosaurs!!! If one of the kids had not pointed it out the smaller children could have become sick as they were tucking in. Mains came with things missing, sauces that should have come with the hanging kebabs were not there and chips were missed off of orders. The steaks that we asked to be medium rare were well done. One of the party had to send back there order as it was flat cold and when it finally arrived back about 30 mins later everyone had finished eating. I would not recommend eating here at all.

We visited this place for the second time tonight 12.2.22 and were definitely disappointed in the service this time we ordered 4 meals three came out and we waited at least 15 minutes for the last meal! we were going to order dessert but after 20 mins still no one came to clear our table the place wasn't even busy not the way to treat customers

Myself and a colleague came in for lunch today with a client we support and we were very impressed. Immediately we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to a convenient table. The food options on offer were great and superb value especially on the 2 Mains for £15.00 menu. Food arrived quickly and was extremely well presented and excellent quality. Very tasty and good sized portions. Again very attentive, happy staff members. The venue itself is superb with a very relaxing environment and lovely decor and a great outdoor area. We will definitely be returning. Thank you very much

The so called Xmas dinner was not eatable we were there 4hrs all we had was soup(with green bug on one plate)main meal burnt,stewed veg,gravy was nice and beef good rest was rubbish,we got a refund 50%.

Staff and pub nice BUT!!!! Had to listen to dog barking constantly as singer doing his best to sing through the barking. We couldn't hear each other over the barking then selfish owners sat the massive dog between them on the seats l have photo proof as it sniffed all the table so don't go in decent clothes or eat from the dog tables. Surely staff should have asked them to leave as they had 4 YES FOUR dogs at one table. Disgusting selfish behaviour. From the owners as well as the dogs!!

Booked a table here for 6 of us. Staff polite, friendly and attentive. Spacious area with lots of inside and outside seating. We all ordered something different from the menu, and we all enjoyed. Would definitely eat/drink here again 🍽🥂

What a rip off!Massively overpriced and very poor quality.They can't even pour a pint of beer.....flat as...!The burger pictured is £11 FFS.By far the worst pub food in the area. AVOID.

Lovely beer garden - shame the view of the water is covered a bit by advertising - a nice open view of the lake would be nice ! However nice place - huge portions of food / the fish and chips could have fed two of us - very good - and the burger piggy in the middle was great - no wonder we had to walk 3 miles as nostell priory afterwards

We ordered takeout from here last night and it was great. The portion sizes were fantastic and the food was high quality. It was as close to eating out as we could have asked for without actually being able to eat out and made a lovely change from the normal, greasy takeout food that is available from most other places. If you want some good, proper food I'd recommend ordering from here. It's a little bit pricier than most takeouts but that's to be expected given the difference in food quality and the fact that you're paying for proper pub food so, for us, worth paying a bit extra. I'm looking forward to eating my leftovers for lunch today and we will definitely be ordering from here again.Thank you so much
