The Singing Chocker in Wakefield

Not been here for years but was pleasantly surprised. Good value at 10.59 for 2 main meals, cooked lovely. All fresh produce, good portions, arrived quickly even though busy. Friendly helpful staff, nice relaxed atmosphere, all ages in. Will be going back.👍

Great service from all team members who were very friendly and accommodating for our party of eighteen. Food was ordered separately but arrived together with minimum waiting and everyone enjoyed what they had. A great place for a large group to meet. As the weather was great we finished our visit on the outside patio area. Thanks again to the team for such good service.

Superb service today from a lovely lady called Sue. She never fails to make us feel welcome, the steak was excellent value for money at £5.50!!!Would highly recommended booking your table as it can get really busy here.

We went for a meal and drinks tonight to the Singing Chocker, it's been quite a while over a year since we have been.The starter and main course was by far the best we have had in a long time, the service was friendly and the food delicious. My husband and myself had platter for two starter, the chicken wings were cooked to perfection and then we both had steak mine medium well done and hubby medium rare. Both cooked to perfection, its the best steak we've had in years! Compliments given to the staff, it explains the new kitchen staff, know what they are doing. Keep up the good work. We will certainly be back soon.

Just popped in on the off chance - and very glad I did.Ordered the signatue millionaire burger and it was absolutely lovely.. Full of flavour and more than filling.The 2 ladies serving, Emma and Sue were a joy to meet.100% recommend this place

Was not very nice. Not the first time i have been there and food has been undercooked. Burger was bleeding last time now chicken wings are pink. Wont eat here again. Chips said they came seasoned but were just plain fries. Took almost an hour and a half for the main meals. The bar staff were all sat down laughing and joking apart from one called kayleigh. Who was up serving everyone while other bar staff were sat drinking cola from the bar. Iv had a reply how i meant to get intouch without a name and a number?

We love this pub, it is our regular place to eat on our day off. The food is always tasty and hot. The servers are always friendly and polite. The only reason for 4 star is the decor could do with a little update. (Furniture and carpets). Otherwise would be a 5 star.

Came in for Lunch Friday afternoon, the pub had just started filling up seeming to be busy, our food was delicious steak was cooked to perfection, chips were piping hot… Service was great the atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the lovely lady who served us behind the bar, she even went out of her way to clear our plates and offer coffee and puddings and of course we couldn’t resist. Great afternoon we will be back next week!!

We really enjoyed our food, the only complaint is charging nearly £5 for a finger size piece of cheese cake. It tasted lovely but felt it was very overpriced for what you got, wasn't even served with a strawberry as advertised

Went for my birthday meal, was served by a lovely lady called Leanne who sang to me, smiling and happy lass! Then our food was brought to us by Emma who made sure we was happy and it was all ok! Lovely service would recommend 100% to family and friends.
