"The White Horse is situated in the farming village of Sharlston, almost half way between Pontefract and Wakefield. This friendly village pub prides itself on offering quality home cooked food, local craft ales and a fine selection of spirits and wines. We also offer stylish accommodation. All of this is combined within the comfortable and gorgeous setting of The White Horse. We boast a huge beer garden to the front of the pub, with spectacular views all year round looking over to Emley Moor Tower. As well as this, we also have a play area – so the kids can let off steam whilst you enjoy the views with a good pint of Yorkshire Beer! Visit this place for the bike night. In summer loads of bikes turn up. They even carry on the bike night in winter which is nice for the all year riders. There's a large function room for the bikers to meet every week too. Biker friendly pub with nice atmosphere :)

we were visiting family after Christmas and decided to go to this pub for lunch.what a friendly pub this is.the menu is fantastic with lots of choice and with my wife been a vegetarian we sometimes struggle but she was well happy.the staff couldn't do enough for us and even let me give a donation for a lovely cider glass to take home.this is also a dog friendly place inside and out so bonus.the beer garden is really nice too with lots of seating .thanks again for the great service and gorgeous meals.sam sykes from Cumbria

Absolutely amazing! Really enjoyed myself with my family the food was just amazing! Me and my family was blown away! 😆 we will definitely come here again already added this to my favourites great garden great staff! Its great! Also i got excited this had three onion rings but damn they looked good! 100% recommend.

Nice out of town pub, excellent for sitting out in summer. Very reasonable prices and the food is good value for money. They have a nice room for hire, great for parties etc.
