The Winter Seam in Wakefield

As with all Wetherspoons this place is great for an inexpensive good value meal with a drink thrown in on some menu choices. Service was very quick ....We use the table service app and find it so much easier than queueing five deep at the bar!!!! This Wetherspoons doesn't have Pizza's on the menu which is it's only down point.Would highly recommend a visit if your in the area!!!!

I visit all the time for a nice latte. Staff are always polite and helpful.My only issue is when there's the tiniest hint of sunshine the main doors get wedged open making the place drafty and cold. It's impossible to relax. I mean it's March not July!!

There were 3 of us, the meals did not arrive together. We queried our order and were spoken to quite rudely and abruptly.They had run out of white wine so brought us red. We asked to change our drinks but were refused.We wrote our criticisms on serviettes as we left.We saw the staff reading them.We do hope they took note!

The venue like all the other J D Wetherspoon venues around the country offered good value for money but for whatever reason, the staff were particularly good.Not only did the person who delivered my food do so in a very courteous manner but the young lady who took the empty plates away asked me if I had left enough room for hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream....... turns out I had...😁....I leave as a happy customer, what more could I ask for.....👍

It's a Weatherspoons, so you know it's all about consistency, but I will say the pint of Guinness I had was lovely, table was clean, food was ok as you'd expect, not perfect but not bad at all.

Decent breakfast for the price can't really complain been a fair few times in need of a breaky to cure my hangover

As expected. Food was good standard Wetherspoons stuff. Busy and a bit noisy. Spoiled by the very drunk group of guys (at 11am!) swearing really loudly and often at the table right next to us, a group with 4 children all under 7. We managed to move tables to a different area after a little while, but it was tricky to find somewhere as it was so busy. Even after moving we could still hear them. 😞

There is a great atmosphere in this pub, created by its large area and glorious lights. I ordered a quality Ginger Beer on the app, though a waiter initially brought me the wrong drink and were patient when I loaded up the email showing proof of the actual order. The Ginger Beer was fantastic and properly chilled, being drunk by me on a clean table and all of the staff that I interacted with were lovely!

It is what it is.Always have a good night, only fault with the place is the tables always need cleaning.I just ask at the bar for a cloth and disinfectant and clean it myself, job done.Although with this covid ongoing, they should really be done constantly.But it is what it is staff are always good and polite, and we always have a good night.

Great pub on the outer of Xscape, good division between tables and super fast service. The food isn't the best quality (rice came in a square block for example) but it has some flavour and is cheap so what more do you expect? A good place for casual occassions on a weekend afternoon
