Now that the original people are in, this place is amazing again! Brilliant home cooked food, the staff are amazing, this is my fav place to eat when I am in wakefield

I've been had twice at this place (every one deserves a second chance) Homemade pie was empty, chips from a bag, and peas from god only knows where. I recently ordered, a hard boiled, sliced egg salad sandwich (emphasis on the sliced and hard boiled). What I got was a hot, barely poached runny egg on a salad sandwich. Who in the hell who expect this! Avoid this place.

On approach all staff sat outside chatting and smoking.Breakfast was barely cooked (raw)sausages with COLD beans and tomato + bacon was sour and had a rind on that was 1 inch thick.Staff almost sat on my shoulder watching and cackling like witches.Table should have been cleaned before we sat down.How difficult is it to 'zap' beans/tomato in microwave ?Too many people inside kitchen area that did not need to be there.Avoid this place 🤢🤮😡🤬 WHY IS THERE A RUG ON THE LANDING ?HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES HERE !!!

Been coming to this cafe years but never again. Ordered 2 roast pork dinners advertised homemade Yorkshire puddings Food cold gravy cold and water no taste whatsoever left the whole meal never to return 😪

Grim. This place has gone downhill in the past few years. Before they did a cracking breakfast and a brilliant lunchtime menu. Went in this Sunday for a spot of lunch. The Tuna Mayo was more like tuna flavoured Mayo in a potato that had been stood for hours, the tuna sandwich was equally as bad. Won’t be returning…

Was disappointed today. Well gone down use to be a lovely Sunday lunch. Roast beef was poor. Mash potato's tasted like instant. Frozen mixed veg and Yorkshire puddings tastednlike the cheapest frozen ones you could buy I won't be going back. The quality is poor

Lovely cafe! Don’t be put off if it looks full there’s seating upstairs! A proper down to earth back to basics cafe with good food and a good vegan and vegetarian selection! Friendly staff very helpful!
