Eaten at 31 twice now and can say that the food is great and reasonably priced. The fixed price menu includes something for all tastes and the alacarte builds on this. Wine list has all that you may want. This is a place that I will return to.

Just had an excellent meal at this restaurant for my birthday with my husband. First class food and service. Complements to the chef and thank you to the waitress for great and friendly service.

Not been out for while for meal in york,went out with friends 19/2/22 had wonderfull evening food was really good and the staff were very attentive,it was that good I went week after with my wife 26/2/22 and staff remembered us very attentive food was as good as week previous even though we changed our choices. That good we have booked mothering Sunday for the family. Highly recommend.

The vegan menu is very good. It was not spicy. Many vegan restaurants put a lot of hot spices, as if it needs it to gave some taste. But vegetables have a lot of taste. Service very friendly.

Avoid avoid avoid ! Just had what I thought would be a romantic valentines lunch. Ate my starter then needed to use downstairs toilet. Stains all over toilet, dust, grease & grime collected in corners of room & all over surfaces. Greasy dirty smell. Staff shoes thrown outside all over floor. This area hasn’t had a clean in days if not weeks. Returned to my table & told waitress how dirty toilets were she shrugged & said she would get round to it when she could. Main courses arrived but because of dirty areas downstairs next to kitchen I couldn’t eat the vegan paella. Waitress returned to ask if ok & I said I couldn’t eat it because of the poor hygiene witnessed. Waitress said cleaner is off & shrugged again. Bill came & they wanted to charge me for uneaten paella, I had to ask them to remove paella from bill & waitress rudely said yes but we made it. I explained that the hygiene of the restaurant had put me off. She said the kitchen is different ? She eventually removed uneaten food from my bill but whole attitude was one of excuses & not caring. A dirty unhygienic restaurant to with a staff member that just doesn’t care. Rubbish valentines would not recommend.

Lovely food and very helpful and friendly staff! We had a fantastic time here thank you! Even let us use the phone charger! Brilliant

Ate here on my own. Food was beautiful. Only criticism if I really had to push for one. I like my sauce on the side so I can have what I want, but the fish dish was layered so had to be incorporated

Amazing value meal and everything was cooked beautifully. Attentive staff and lovely setting. If we were local, there is no doubt we would be regular visitors. A big thumbs up!

It has been over 10 years since we last visited this restaurant. So we thought we’d make another visit! It is a spacious restaurant with high ceilings and tables were sensibly placed with the 2 dining areas. We were greeted with a friendly waitress who took us to our table. She informed us of the soup of the day. We perused the menu which has a good choice. We opted for the set menu, one of which was a vegan version. It wasn’t because we were vegan, but the menu was enticing! We ordered our drinks and had some fresh bread as an accompaniment. The waitress later came back to take our food choices. It had a lovely atmosphere with music in the background. It didn’t take long for our starters to arrive. The food was fresh and well presented. The mains came hot and steaming which was delicious!! We also managed to fit in dessert too! It was a lovely evening! Great menu and friendly staff. We will definitely return again and not leave it another 10 years!!
