Bamboo Thai Takeaway & Noodle Bar in York

I have eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants. I have to say that I was disappointed. Would not recommend ordering from this place. It was an order through Just Eat. Over priced, no flavour and oily.

Food was lovely , service was good, quick and efficient, polite and friendly staff, drink prices alittle steep also had to park a fair distance away as there's were no parking facilities

Really tasty food with very generous portions and good prices. Staff are very friendly each time we’ve been!

The curry is full of coconut flavour and the tom yum kong soup could be a little more sour, a very good Thai restaurant

Visited Bamboo Thai during a trip to York on 21st October.It was a bit off the beaten track and being a Wednesday was not very busy. I love Thai food and this did not disappoint.The menu was not overly large but there was a big enough selection to keep everyone happy. There were 3 in our party and all of the starters and main courses were delicious, all at reasonable prices as well.Great service from the young lady serving us and we left very full and very happy!

Went last night an iv gotta say it was a lovely food, it tasted amazing, an they are very kind on the porshion sizes, genuinly it was lovely from start to finish, well deffo be goin again. Thank you

We received a friendly welcome. The food was freshly cooked, delicious and authentic, also very good value! We ordered the duck tamarind special and it was so tender and the portion size is also generous for a Thai meal. Look forward to our next visit!

Food is fresh and cooked with love! Staff were lovely and knowledgeable about their dishes. Restaurant is simple but charming. Will definitely be returning.

I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!! The staff were so very friendly and accommodating. The Thai Tea was delicious and sweet. I ordered the chicken massaman curry (extra spicy) and it was the best Thai dish I’ve tasted in my four years traveling England. It was flavourful and not bland at all. I ordered the chicken egg noddles for my toddler and he ate it all up. The portions are very generous and there was plenty of rice with the meal to actually soak up the sauce in the dishes. If you are traveling in York I suggest you make it a point to eat here!

Always loved Bamboo Thai for takeout but recently went for a meal in their new restaurant :-o absolutely delicious!! Spoken to the owner many a time and so pleased he's doing well, was really rooting for his success. Did notice when he left the restaurant into the front of house service dropped though, we asked our server on 4 different occasions for the bill or to pay and had to wait around 15mins when there was only 1 other table at the end of the evening whilst she talked. Won't stop me visiting again though, really authentic cuisine and such a friendly atmosphere and will be booking to visit again soon. Thank you
