"Tucked away in a quite corner of York, we are a splendid setting for intimate and individual weddings, an inspirational space for meetings and conferences, and a great location for family celebrations - wedding anniversaries, Christenings and birthdays. Our courtyard cafe and garden terrace and havens for a quite coffee and cake and our central location makes us an ideal base from which to explore the City of York. We hold a host of varied events throughout the year which are open to all, from Pancake Races and Art Exhibitions through to our popular monthly lunch - 'Your Local Lunch'. For businesses we have created Bedern Breakfast, a quarterly networking event with a difference."

A lovely afternoon tea when visiting York. The staff were great and a lovely selection for afternoon tea. A little hidden away, but well worth checking out the location.

Great place for a coffee or a glass of wine. Well off the beaten track, but just a few minutes walk from the shambles. Lovely, tranquil setting,in a medievil hall. Very friendly, welcoming staff.

Despite being very close to York's numerous "honeypot" attractions, this is a delightfully quiet, historic building with a lovely little café. Well worth seeking out.

Lovely, historical site. Was nice to nip in again, albeit briefly due to a function taking place, so just a flying visit. Was somewhat astounded that the gentleman not only remembered me but recognised me from yonks ago - I was a 7-line angel in York Mystery Plays and they had held the auditions here. Good memory, sir! 👍🥇

Nice wedding venue for my sisters wedding. Kitchen possibly a little small for any more than the guests we had (50ish).Would have been nice to have the bar open before the ceremony as it was 20degrees outside with no refreshments in the immediate vicinity. Also, I understand that music can't be loud, but placement could possibly have been a little better.Apart from these things though, it was a good location with privacy from the main hustle and bustle of York, with food catered for all dietary needs

Lovely old building full of history. Very warm to begin with but soon cooled down once staff were informed and the heating was reduced. Buffet lunch was excellent. Tucked away down a backstreet so not the easiest place to find, but very close to all the action in the centre of York. I visited to attend a training event but I'd imagine it would make a great wedding venue due to its ecclesiastical atmosphere.

My sister and brother in law hired the room and catering to celebrate their wedding anniversary. It is a beautiful place, large room's, friendly staff and the catering was excellent. The history to the place is fabulous and whatever your occasion you celebrate here, will fit everyone's needs.
