Cabra Verde Delicatessen and Cafe in York

So glad my first tea experience was here. Service was amazing as was the food. Ordered afternoon tea for two with my friend for £40 altogether. Highly suggest making a reservation.

Can't complain about the quality of the food - it was yummy. The ambiance is beautiful and the choice of music in the background superb......But the only small complaint I have is the service. We waited 45 mins for eggs benedictine and a bacon sandwich.

Lovely place for breakfast and afternoon tea 🍵 ☕️ the staff were so friendly and welcoming.. also there’s a great view beside some tables.. Recommend it ⭐️

Such a charming cafe with one of the best pistachio cake I’ve ever had (please never stop making those!) and a lovely spot for tea surrounded by old world charm and plenty of antiques.

Fantastic afternoon tea!!We totally enjoyed our visit yesterday, there was 8 of us and we all had an amazing time.Absolutely beautiful sandwiches- obviously freshly made, gorgeous scones, cakes and plenty tea and coffee.Very attentive service, nothing too much trouble.Only drawback the steps at the front of the building are a bit awkward for anyone with mobility difficulties (A couple of them are quite deep) and there are two sets of stairs to the first floor tea room. We will definitely visit again xx

We had to revisit this place on our second trip to York this year as it was so good on our last visit and once again it did not disappoint. This cafe is situated inside Red House Antiques. It's a great place to chill, have a light lunch and people watch from the windows. On this occasion we had the tomato and basil soup with coffee and tea, delicious and as always the servers were polite, prompt and well presented.

We managed to get table in this beautiful place and have breakfast. Portion was pretty big! We had veggie breakfast and eggs royale. Food was absolutely delicious and looked so beautiful on the plate. Totally recommend!!!

Lovely lunch place on the first floor of the antiques shop. They have a good selection of English food items on the menu including Yorkshire Pudding and afternoon tea for later in the afternoon. The food was nice as was the first storey view of York. Service was a bit slow but all the better as you take a breather from exploring York.

Quaint little cafe at the top of the Antique shop near York minster. Lovely full English breakfast with friendly staff and old songs playing in the background. Highly recommended.
