Cafe la Tazzina York in York

We walked past Caffe La Tazzina on the way into York from our rental house and decided to eat there that evening and what a great decision. There is a great list of draft beers as well as choices of wines and cocktails. The members of staff were all friendly and helpful - giving sample tastes of the beers for my husband to help him decide which one to order. We had 3 courses with wine, cocktails and beers all for a very reasonable price. A great little find and lovely, quirky surroundings - perfect!

Brilliant atmosphere, friendly and welcoming team. Food looked great and tasted superb. Lots of beer on tap and the Passion Fruit Martini was delicious. Really authentic relaxing restaurant...we had a lovely evening and can't wait to return on our next visit to York.

Booked a table for an unplanned dinner with my partner and son...so pleased we came here. The cozy room feels welcoming and is really pretty. Great wine list, craft beers and cocktails. We all had pasta dishes, my papadelle with wild mushrooms transported me to Italy.No rushing, attentive service, great, honest food. I'm so glad we live around the corner as this will be our go-to wine bar and bistro now. Love it!

Great cozy place to have a great Italian meal. Love the family atmosphere. The food is delicious and they have a great selection of beer and drinks. Nice little gem!

Amazing night here talking to Mario and Margaret. Absolute pleasure to learn about the history of the bar/ restaurant, and their family. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed drink away from all the idiots!

Beautifully authentic. A real taste of Italy. Super friendly, excellent food. Booking essential as quite small and very popular. Thoroughly recommend this little gem.

A quaint and cosy Italian pizzeria/restaurant just outside the city walls. The pizzas were scrumptious and the service was excellent. I love an authentic eatery that offers both character and good food, and this place met my expectations. Highly recommend!

Ordered 2 pizzas via Deliveroo. They were fine although some ingredients were of questionable quality - olives and anchovies. The base was chewy and a tad salty for my taste.The pizza did arrive hot and incredibly quickly.The quest for really good takeout pizza in york continues!

Superb. Quite simply superb! I think I have found my soon to become favourite haunt in York. Everything about this corner café close to the station and York walls is simply splendid. Lovely ambience. Mario is a delightfully charming character, who doesn't stop smiling. The staff are happy and great at their jobs, making you welcome and having fun at the same time. Very reasonably priced menu. I want to try it all. Ha ha 🤭 Gluten free options too in cakes.Great location, great decor, the best staff in the business and the food - every mouthful was brilliant! 😻👍🥇🏆I had the spinach and olive omelette. Extremely olive'y so was delicious. All the ingredients tasted so fresh and zingy. Can't recommend highly enough, totally loved it. The easiest 5 🌟 rating ever, no, make it a 6. Looking forward very much to a return visit. Great job! Happy customer. 😁😄
