Good clean cafe with friendly staff. Easy to drop in fast or stay and relax. Was a bit warm on my last visit but that might be a faulty air con. Will update on my next visit.

This cafe Nero was just as good as all the other's I have been to. The reason I gave it four stars is that it was a very warm day in York and the air conditioning was either broken of switched off.

just ok. Staff appeared stretched although it was fairly quiet. Not enough to clear table. I won't rush back, but not completely put off.

We went in during the evening of Monday 23 May. The food was ok but the service was so slow.IT SHOULD BE RENAMED CAFFE ZERO TO suit the service.

Absolutely filthy.... Counter, floor, card machine, chairs, toilets. Slow service. Staff have no enthusiasm. Would not return.

Staff were disorganised. I ordered a ham and mozzarella sandwich with water and can of San Pellegrino.I expected the server to take the sandwich and toast it, but she didn't so I had a cold sandwich.Disappointing service and wasted money. Should have gone elsewhere for lunch today.

Never enough seats for people to sit down leaving the elderly and disabled who want to eat in stood waiting for a seatOtherwise the coffee is good sometimes more froth than coffee and the choice of food is is pretty good !Feel abit sorry for the staff who always look there is never enough of them !

This is my "go to" coffee place in York. Coffee is lovely, the venue itself is cosy and relaxing and the staff are always excellent. Another added bonus is this particular branch is dog friendly. I had my dog with me months ago (who is blind) and tied him outside, I was in the queue constantly keeping an eye on him when the staff said dogs were allowed in. I rang up this morning to check they're dog friendly still as I'm planning to go there and they are, which is amazing. They are currently understaffed I believe so sometimes the queue is slow to move, however most places are like that and the staff do an excellent job of keeping up with customers.
