Always good, have been using this Chinese for 20 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Never had a bad takeaway from here. It’s always busy which speaks for itself. They don’t offer delivery however I am happy to collect.

Use to go somewhere else at one time until I tried this takeaway, heaven in tinfoil never had bad food from here. Even the curry is almost hot enough for my husband.

Quite possibly the best Chinese takeaway in the city.On the go since 1970, I have never had a bad meal from this takeaway. A true hidden gem, this takeaway does not deliver, and is located at the end of a side road that can be rather hard to navigate at times.

Look at the reviews and went for this Chinese as we were visiting York. Unfortunately disappointing, most of the standard meals were bland and flavourless. The only good thing out of a £36 order was the Pancake Rolls. Shame but understand everyone enjoys different flavours. Maybe they were busy or a new chef on

Absolutely brilliant Chinese.I’m a loyal customer to their sister Chinese in Osbaldwick and always heard how good this one is so I thought I’d pop in on my way home from work well glad I did will go here again for sure. I had beef with Mushroom, chips and a curry sauce. Was delicious especially the curry sauce not too spicy but I good taste. The beef was cooked perfect and tender. 5plus stars for this place one of the best!

Fantastic food, salt and pepper chicken wings are to die for. Shame they don't deliver but can't argue when the quality of the food is so good.
