"Dean’s Garden Centre is a family run business serving local gardeners for 50 years. Our York store in Stockton-on-the-Forest was opened in 1968 by Mr & Mrs Dean and the centre has gone from strength to strength growing to cover more than four acres. In 1986 Dean’s decided to expand further and bought a former cut flower nursery in Scarborough and is now home to another successful garden centre. We also have two popular coffee shops, ‘The Bothy’ at York and ‘Gardener’s Choice’ at Scarborough which serve hot and cold meals, drinks and snacks all year round so you can make a trip to see us as a day out for the whole family."

The Bothy is absolutely first rate,my wife and i actually traveled all the way up to York from Leicester and Dean's Garden Centre was our first stop, whenever we're always sure to visit.Must say though, your staff working in The Bothy are all wonderfully trained and I have to say I haven't seen any better anywhere 👍👍👍

Well run and food lovely. Even when really busy they manage to keep meals really hot. Coming here for years and it's never changed just lovely.

Always good kate always lovely and friendly just wish you could get your drinks with the meal as some times the hot drinks have cooled a lot by the time your meals comes

My wife & I entertained a close friend, from Darlington, & our daughter to lunch & had a delicious meal. The restaurant was very busy but social distancing was in force & we had to join small queue in a one way entry system. We selected from an extensive menu & the 4 meals were served together after a short wait. The meals were Yorkshire size but possibly the 3 egg omelettes meals were too big. There was adequate staffing with tables being cleared quickly after use.

As ever Dean's are super efficient, friendly staff, and as Covid 19 safe as you can get. Patience needed by everyone in all situations. Can't fault the staff. Food excellent and tasty as ever. A bit of a queue, not a long wait. Worth it. Toilets open in The Bothy area. Wonderful treat. Thank you.
