Drift-In in York

A really yummy breakfast at The Drift-In York. Delicious thick cut sourdough toast with avocado, feta & pomegranate and a very generous portion at that. My son had the Biscoff/ Ice-cream pancakes. Again, generous and delicious and one of the nicest hot chocolates to date! Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in York! 😋

Stopped here for brunch before exploring York, with my hubby and collie. We were greeted straight away and shown to a table. The waitress gave our dog some cuddles and asked for his name, age, etc. She then asked if she could take his picture for their "doggy wall of fame", which we seen on our way in and, of course, accepted.Their menu if really good; several options to drink and a wide variety of yummy sounding food! I order the french toast with bacon and my hubby went for the sausage sandwich - which was huge!The food was delish! Our only small gripe was the sandwich bread to sausage ratio was a bit questionable - huge thick sourdough bread with two thin sausages between the slices?Apart from that, we were really pleased we stopped by as the service was great, the food tasted amazing and they were so dog friendly!

Loved this place. We found it odd Google reviews so only fair to leave a review. We chose to have pancakes but full lunchtime menu was available. Friendly staff too.

A great place for breakfast!We called in twice! Inside is spacious with a modern/rustic feel. The food is eye catching and tastes really fresh. We tried the topped toast and pancakes. If I were to go back I'd love to try the homemade beans and French toast as both looked amazing as they past our table.

Nice big dog friendly cafe in the centre of York. Only came in for drinks but got a good amount of tea for 1 and a very nice strawberry milkshake. Lots of hot drink options, juices, smoothies etc. and the cakes looked lovely from the cabinet. Friendly staff and also noticed a children's corner and good toilet facilities.

Perfect environment , quality food , great service , the food are at a good price. All these make the restaurant brilliant , a place I would like to spend much time enjoying

LOVE it here. Super friendly staff, so kindto my dog too. Been coming here for years now and they’ve always been fantastic. Food is wonderful and they make EXCELLENT coffees and lattes, I especially liked Kat’s (sorry if I spelt it wrong) Honey bee latte! Best lunch place in York IMO

Always the most friendly and welcoming staff and an amazing menu which has such good vegan and vegetarian options. The coffee is always great and there's some really cool drinks too like matcha, chai, turmeric and a blue pea latte!

Cool place to get a really nice coffee and some good food. Great veggie options. A little sad that my toastie came with ready salted crisps as I anticipated (just personal preference) but some things never change. Still a great experience overall!Be prepared to queue for a little at busy times.

Lovely inside but I wouldn't recommend for popping in alone which I did and felt a bit out of place. Really good food and a great coffee blend!
