Great choice of cocktails and good quality. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice little seating area out the back with heaters on.

Having visited the shop last year, I visited the bar here expecting an experience. We waited, and this isn’t me being dramatic, 28 minutes to be served. This was only 4 rotations of service too, but staff didn’t work quick and in fact complained they’d be working since 12:30, now being 20:00. The bar was wet and sticky throughout, and no staff were available to clear tables or clean. Although the barman was fairly nice, no… ‘ducks’ were given as to the speed of service and everyone waited a minimum of 15-30 minutes for their drinks. I really felt a few more staff would have improved this.

Really didn’t get the hype surrounding this place.Slow poor service and sub par cocktails. plus it has a statute of the ex wife opposite the door way, should really have been forewarned!The botanist nearby was far more enjoyable in my humble opinion.

Such a fun cocktail bar! And so reasonably priced too. Everything we tried was really interesting and the staff know what they are doing. This is a really fun place to start your night out in York.

Cocktails are fab here, bit different and oh so tasty! The 'Loxley Forrest Gateaux' is like a dessert smoothie! Bar staff are lovely! Definitely will return.

Great music, vast selection of cocktails, wish we'd found it sooner. Will definately return on our next visit.

I really loved this bar, not even considering the stupendous number of cocktails, but the vibe was really good, alt rock playing all night, LGBT friendly and just a charming vibe, was pretty busy on a Wednesday evening.There was a bit of a wait for cocktails but these guys make them properly, don't just rush them to get them out and I think that's better to be honest. Its amazing how many different cocktails they all know off the top of their head there's like at least 80 and the wall behind the bar is just floor to ceiling covered in different spirits.The cocktails were really damn good as well, highly recommend.

If you are after a drink, be it alcoholic or not, you will be pleased to know that your needs will be met.The building is broken up over several floors with rooms to cater for small groups or larger congregations.Toilets are downstairs for easy access or less-abled individuals or upstairs if you can make it up there.The drinks menu will cater for everyone. If you're a fan of rum, gin, whiskey or more, they have their own twists and mixes and you'll have plenty to choose from. Classics are also served here, so Mai-Tai or Long Island away.The image below is of their Shed Seven, a blend of seven rums, absinthe and fruit juices. What a pleasurable way to spend a summer afternoon.Beer garden open till 11pm.Enjoy!
