Nice and clean hotel, breakfast varied lots of nice bits! Room v clean and fabulous Fridge/shower, v comfy!Good location to centre of York.Some of the reception staff came across as v unfriendly, no smiles or pleasant greetings in fact you felt like you were bothering them! But hotel was fine! Don't be put off by that, it could have just been a bad day

Excellent location! A short picturesque walk away from the Train station. Lots of shops on the way to the Shambles. Heavy breakfast buffet with a corner for making your own pancakes and waffles. Breakfast was a bit tight, but expected, as it was graduation period in York University. Bedroom size was good for short stays (3-4 days). Daily cleaning. Frequency of towel changes can be requested. All in all, a good value stay.

Fabulous service! very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Rooms were spotless, comfy bed and tea services. Great location, only a short walk from the train station. Breakfast was brilliant, not expensive at all. Brilliant hotel, we will be staying again !

Absolutely fantastic stay in this lovely hotel.The staff are amazing and very courteous and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were great amd the beds so comfy. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from.

Lovely place, extremely clean, staff were 1st class and amazingly accommodating. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choices and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Only 1 slight negative is I wish the gym was open earlier as I'm an early riser and wouldn't mind if I could go down before my wife and son woke up. This does not take away from the stay at all and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in York.

We recently stayed as part of a short family trip and we were impressed with the overall cleanliness of the hotel - despite how busy it was - as well as the professionalism of staff.Everyone we encountered was professional, friendly and welcoming, and couldn't have been more helpful when it came to assisting us with things like directions and storing luggage prior to check-in.The breakfast area was a highlight of ours and we had a fantastic nights sleep as a family. We will no doubt visit again and choose this hotel again.

Enjoyed a lovely two day break here with my daughter. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely spotlessly clean rooms. Great breakfast included too. Ideally situated for the train station and within short walking distance of shopping centre

Hotel easy to reach from the train station and most major attractions. The staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. The room was nice and clean with extra precautions. I would recommend this hotel to my friend and would visit again.

Fantastic value, really good breakfast, clean and smart rooms. Pound for pound it's unbeatable value in York. Really friendly staff, and hard to fault. Paid more and been disappointed in other hotels. So baring that in mind, would definitely stay again.

Very pleasant stay, mattress was a little to firm for my own personal taste, and the TV reception in the room was very poor, room 416 not reported but since we spent most of our time out this was no big deal. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from, very clean and staff very helpful and polite, thought drinks prices were on par with other local amenities were drink and food served. Would I stay again YES it was walking distance from the train station 5 minutes and if driving there is secure parking near the train station, which is pre-book able via just park. Hotel is within walking distance to the York center approx 10 minute walk.
