The staff are so rude they forgot my order and when I asked why I had been waiting so long instead of saying sorry we will sort it all I got was abuse and then one member of staff followed me out to my car shouting at me .....lovely food but don't need the hassle won't be back oh word of warning check you have received what you have ordered before leaving as its all a bit hit n miss .

Not sure how you manage to mess up frying up fish and chips but King's - Acomb did on Saturday. Chips were anaemic, probably the result of them being fried at too low a temperature for too long. Fish was also undercooked. All this resulted in us having to heat them up in our oven to complete the cooking process when we got home. When King's first took over from the previous owner, the standard of food was equal if not better.I would advise you re-train your staff on how to properly cook as it looks like we'll be taking our business elsewhere if standards do not improve.EDITRemove yourselves off Google as a listing then if you can't take criticism from an open platform 🤷‍♂️

Went here a few months ago and really enjoyed the fish & chips. Tonight however, was more than disappointing! Got the same meal as last time, 2 light fish & chips. This time the fish were tiny, the smallest one was about the size of a sausage, and at £3.60 each definitely not value for money. The chips were anaemic and cold, enjoyed the mushy peas but they were also cold. It was a different team on duty tonight, maybe that's a factor.

This place is horrible fish was dry and rock hard sausage was overcooked and hard. Chips had no colour to them bread buns were so dry that I couldn't even take the lid off without it crumbling everywhere fish cake was cold cheese mash balls were extremely greasy that it was dripping off my hands and face. Calamari tasted disgusting was raw batter and overcooked chewy on the inside. Chicken gougons were so tough my child couldnt bite through them.

We ordered two cod and chips and they were cooked to perfection the batter was crispy just as it should be the fish was lovely and soft and full of flavour and the chips were nice and chunky and very enjoyable, our meal arrived very hot with the quick delivery through just eat, this is our second time ordering and both times the order as been a perfect catch... We will definitely be ordering again..

Ordered on-line, nearly two hours later, nothing. Telephoned to be told its been sat waiting for nearly an hour, blaming Just Eat for not collecting. Just eats reply was the driver was waiting for the food.. Who is lying. Shop didn't let us know it hadn't been collected yet and were prepared to let the order go when the driver arrives. So they would allow cold, unedable food to leave for their customers. Disgusting. Health & Hygiene need to look into this.Reply....There was no phone call from your establishment, we had to chase you. An apology followed with if you pop down now we will have a fresh order ready, but no, blamed Just Eat all the time. You mentioned your own drivers, why not when the order went wrong, send it with one of your own people but again, no offer of that. You, the same as your team continuously blaming Just Eat. Yes, Just Eat failed miserably but its your business and your reputation. Take some of the responsibility and try harder. If Just Eat let you and your customers down, stop using them, after all it's your reputation on the line.

I went to King’s and my meal was rubbish. The regular fish is tiny, smaller than the small fish served at other shops. Not only that, but it had a hard inedible edge like it had not been filleted properly. There were a few chips but no where near an adult portion and luke warm peas. It feels like they are trying to claw back money after covid by charging full prices for economising on the size of portions. Don’t waste your time here. There are far better f and c shops not too far away.

Quite disappointed So visited again on Friday. Staff were miserable , we waited outside with the children and when our order was ready a big woman shouted loudly repeatedly that it was ready. Quite strange indeed ! Then they seemed put out that we requested forks , the food was ok. Tiny miserly portion of peas though and the fat / oil used to cook the fish chips tasted well used . Not a pleasant experience at all ! So dropping my review from 5 stars to three !

Got a battered sausage and some chips with curry sauce lovely girl at the counter but they forgot my curry sauce, I literally only ordered a sausage chips and the sauce so I don't understand what was hard about forgetting the sauce. Was so gutted as it isn't half as nice without sauce. Friendly ish server, other than that the food isn't even that nice (chips just weren't worth the calories)

Absolutely terrible. Didn’t realise it had changed hands . Used to be lovely. Ordered fish and chips as normal gravy and curry sauce . Had to phone to see where delivery was apparently he had been even though door open . Had to phone sent some more gravy had gone all over one box . No chips apparently you have to order them separately. Doesn’t say that online . Phoned up woman very rude accused son of emptying the gravy . She had no intention of doing anything about the problem just blamed us . £11 for that . Went in the bin. Don’t go there .
