Il Paradiso del Cibo in York

My girlfriend and I first visited here on Valentine's day, and have since been back 3 times. Absolutely obsessed with the burrata pizza, with what I would argue is the best marinara sauce in York. It's borderline addictive. Always busy, always lovely. Totally recommend. Ps. Get the montepulciano, it's excellent

Delicious, authentic Italian food and the friendliest staff ever. The only complaint I have about Il Paradiso del Cibo is that it's not closer to home because otherwise I'd be a regular here. You can taste Italy in every bite!!!

A busy midweek lunchtime meal, a very good menu selection, and delicious food. The seafood options were terrific. I lived in Rome for a while and tested their restaurants vigorously. This is well up to the standard of the ones I loved in Rome.

Amazing little restaurant, me and my partner had our first date here, food was good and well priced, service was great the first time but we had not been back since, we decided to drop back in, unfortunately there were a couple of minor things that let it down slightly, not something that I would Karen over though, table was a little sticky and we had slightly slow service, took a little while to take our order but this is understandable in a busy restaurant, food did not disappoint once again everything was delicious.This is our 2nd favourite Italian and in our top 15 best restaurants in York - we would definitely recommend dropping in if you're staying in York, we prefer the lunch atmosphere over evening but that's not to say we didn't have a great time! Would give 4.5 stars but it won't let me!Rating out of 10R - 8.5A - 8

If you want Italian food then it's here....or go to Italy 🇮🇹 personally I wanted to try two stereotypical dishes in the lasagne and tiramisu....the result blown away by the ingredients and ample portion size...to go there to see for yourself. Yes its cosy and busy but its part of its charm will be coming back next year and after that.

Not a bad calzone and I've had them globally. Dough was great and nicely fired. Plenty of filling. I'd have liked to see an extra type of cheese and ham in there and maybe spinach to vary the taste and texture but that's subjective. Expansive menu and plenty on the special board.

This is truly a unique taste if Italy. Superb food and friendly staff. Atmosphere is great and although quite cosy inside in terms of space, you won't eat better Italian food than this. Must book though as extremely popular.

This place is amazing. If you are debating it, the answer is yes! The atmosphere is perfect. The staff are outstanding and the food is to die for. Thanks for an amazing night!

I love this place. It's really small and the food is authentic Italian. The pizza is great (They have one with egg on) and they do really interesting specials sometimes too. I had a pumpkin pasta dish once and it was the best pasta I've ever had. Nice relaxing vibe too.
