Kapadokya 50 in York

Me and some of my vegetarian friends tried new dishes so authentic taste and great hospitality great location near to railway station and in heart of city center…Please book in advance and go restaurant is quiet busy as they are the only live BBQ on Charcoal in whole area…Definitely will be here on my next visitWill definitely go again with family .

Came across this restaurant and was attracted by the warm atmosphere, and the smell of delicious meat cooking on the hot stones. Staff are very welcoming, food was amazing! Service was fab. Clear to see a team working very hard together to keep customers happy. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this amazing restaurant after our original choice was closed. Wow, the mixed grill for 2 was huge and delicious, everything cooked to perfection. Moussaka was beautiful and lamb kebabs gorgeous. We all really enjoyed our meal, service was amazing and would definitely recommend and absolutely going back again 👍

Loved the food, loved the experience there. I would recommend for the food, however the staff could do some customer service improvement.

This isn’t a one star because of the exceptionally warm welcome we received upon entering this place, and the grateful goodbye we were given, that’s where this nice review endsExcruciatingly expensive for exceedingly mediocre food, terrible customer service.The food looks lovely, however the customer base should have told me all I needed to before entering to be honest.I have eaten this kind of food many times, maybe I’m spoilt in Birmingham but I’ve never paid this much or had such boring food before.How do you get hummus wrong? These people did.If there was a spice used to season this food it was probably flour. Bland, slop - no one to ask if our food was ok, they gave out the wrong type of bread, and the price…. For 60 quid I expect better.I have no issue with paying for good food, but I wouldn’t have paid £10 for this, less than cheap supermarket quality.If you’re sat there wondering why I didn’t say anything - well the manager?/owner? Of the place was talking to some customers for so long he actually sat down on the table next to them to continue talking (this is how little value the other customers had) and the other lady/waiter that was working made zero effort to come and ask if we needed anything/how our food was.I had to physically leave my food so I could go and order a drink as our glasses were empty and no one tried to ask if we needed anything despite my brothers best efforts in securing someone’s attention for help.I’m glad I don’t live in York full time if this is the measure of food and customer service people here tolerate.

I came here as an end of term meal with a group of students. The staff were lovely and friendly, the food was absolutely divine! In the range of starters we had, the hummus was the highlight (best in York from our extensive tests!) and the bread that came with the starters is the best bread I've ever had in my life. Would definitely recommend. For main I had veg moussaka, which was gorgeously creamy and incredibly filling. I took away my sutlac dessert for later, and it was a fine dish not to be missed! I was surprised at how cheap the bill was after ordering so much food and a few bottles of wine!

Best lamb ever! Fantastic food, great atmosphere, staff were so friendly and polite! Reasonably priced! I had the meze to start and lamb in tomato sauce main, was fab. Give these guys a try!

Food compared to other Turkish restaurants from Manchester, London is very pricey quality is not on par with those Turkish restaurants. Service is so so nothing special staff not particularly friendly be prepared to wait for your food. Place was clean and portions size was reasonable.
