Great lovely little pub, came here as a student and years later I still love it! Great outside area and staff are always friendly

Proper normal pub with pub service pub food. But great all round.

I've been frequenting here for a while. Lovely staff, reasonably priced beer and good for sport. The main thing I like about this pub is that it knows what it is and doesn't try to be something it's not!

Nice pub,good guest beers, nice food ,a few more smiles from the staff would have been nice but they weren't rude ,just busy I suppose

Fabulous pub,great atmosphere, food was delicious & the people working there were very friendly & recommended something good to eat! If you're in York, this pub is a lovely place to visit for a pint & chill!

Our first stop on our pub tour of York. Seemed a decent pub, friendly staff, and a beer garden that backs up to the city’s famous Walls. Nice pint of Coors in the beer garden which I would recommend.

Amazing pub and great staff! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect for students and also tourists, closely located to the uni and the centre of town, PLUS a beer garden (a novelty in a city where a lot of pubs haven't got much room for one!)

Friendly pub tucked just inside the walls. Nice range of drinks and tasty food. The beer garden is sheltered with the city walls as a backdrop, making for a nice atmosphere

Found this pub during a walk along the wall. Looked over the side and saw a brick igloo. Being the nosy people we are popped off the wall and checked it out.It’s a pub!! Yay! The outside garden area is beautiful, went inside and it’s so pleasant! Fun art, from a decor perspective fantastic color combination choices, the food looked amazing, full of locals grabbing a pint... and as they say when in Rome.Lots of tv screens but they are not loud or in your face if you don’t want to watch sports.Would definitely come back, great space and the staff was really pleasant!
