I recommend this place for a nice meal and romantic evenings! The restaurant have multifunction rooms as you can use them for birthday day parties any occasion. The staff is finally, happy!he food is amazing and desert is Wolf amazing as well. Definitely will be coming back👍🏻

At first I thought this would be a very overpriced restaurant that serves a small amount of food in the plate. HOWEVER, when I tell you this is the best restaurant I have ever been to I mean it. I never leave reviews but this restaurant deserves it. I got a pre-starter (Bruschetta salmon) thinking it will be a tiny portion, I was most definitely wrong. It was the most amazing salmon starter I’ve had. For main I ordered a fillet steak (only steak I like) in medium rare. It was the most juiciest and delicious steak I’ve ever tasted, the potato cake and ham were delicious along with the sauce and all the rest. The vibe was amazing with pleasant music and the venue itself was beautiful inside & out. Me and my boyfriend both got a starter and a main each and had a bottle of wine, the pricing is worth every penny, I walked out with a full & happy tummy. My boyfriend could not have chose a better restaurant for my 22nd birthday. The staff are amazing and friendly (always keep your drink topped up which is never a complaint ;). We will most certainly be coming back!

Such a good experience! we went at this restaurant on 12 evening and we love it! good food and very good service, the portuguese manager that served us was very friendly and in the end we felt that was fair price for the food and experience that we had.

We arrived without a booking, hoping for lunch and couldn’t have had a better experience.The setting is really very nice in this old school building, sitting in the conservatory (nice and warm despite the chilly January day) and looking into the garden.The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable.The staff were very attentive and friendly.We will definitely be making return visits when we are in York again.

I love this restaurant. Celebrated my birthday here (15th Jan) with family, everything was delicious. The lunch time menu has a good choice at a great price. Staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly.I always look forward to coming back.Thank you for another fantastic meal. See you soon.

We went to the restaurant without making a booking as everywhere else could not accommodate us. The restaurant was virtually empty when we came and when we left but yet we were seated at a small table by the wall and when we asked if we could sit at a table with a view, our request was refused and we were also reminded to vacate table within an hour and a half.We were served with warm processco and when we told the waitress that it was not cold, she told us it was just room temperature. We ordered a goat cheese pizza which was meant to have spinach and caramelised onions but there was hardly any goat cheese, spinach or onions on it. We also ordered a caesar salad which was made with wilted, dry lettuce, inedible, stale croutons and it was overflowing with dressing. When we asked for crushed chillies, we were told it was not available.When we paid our bill, we mentioned the salad to the waitress who initially did not seem to be concerned as she continued to take payment from us. She then told us that we should have complained at the beginning. As we were walking out of the restaurant she called us back and refunded the salad.Overall the entire experience was extremely disappointing on both fronts - food and customer service. The staff was so unfriendly that it felt we were bothering them when we requested something.

Didn't book in advance but was able to get a table, no problems.The starter came really promptly.The one bit that niggled me was the mains coming at different intervals. Though if I had started when it arrived, I would have finished at the same time as my wife.The desserts were really outstanding, so flavoursome and well presented. Definitely the highlight of the meal.The service was also outstanding. The waitress who served us really listened and made us feel valued.It's not much, but it goes a long way.

Very helpful friendly staff who were great with the children! The calamari starter was spot on! In fact, all our meals (lunch) were very good and tasty. Meals were different (a good different) from the usual Italian. Well worth a visit. We'll be booking again for our next trip to York
