Myself and my husband came to York from west Midlands to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary very disappointed with food server could not understand use what we wanted and our meals was over cooked meat what we could find just meal was full of peppers and onions that's how we do it in York when I complained come to Birmingham to get a real buliti never been so disappointed in a meal and they never had a complaint yeah

Very good food, very generous portions - we shouldn't have ordered rice and naan. A busy Friday night meant that the main course took a while to come, but the staff were excellent.

One of the best curries I've had, I had the chicken Afghani, which was delicious 😋 Next time I'm in York I'll be going back for another. My fiance had the chicken madras with a garlic naan. Pickle tray to start. Very nice.

Like some other Indian restaurants I have been to (though not all, of course - some are great) , this place is terrific if you go in a group. They had a laugh and a joke with all the groups there.I went as a single person and they barely said three words to me the whole evening. The waiter came for my order and just stood next to me with his pen out waiting for me to speak.The starter was made in a factory so very disappointing, the main was excellent, no-one offered me a desert or coffee so I can't comment on them, but I won't be back as I didn't feel welcomed.

Visited because of good reviews, but the service was so slow. It was dreadful watching the poor waiters completely understaffed running about , whilst what I'll assume was the owner, standing at the bar refusing to assist at all. The food was very nice, but portions were small in comparison to other restaurants

Service was absolutely awful. At the end we were barged into to clear the plates, followed by the bill being shoved onto our table with no words (and not having asked for it). When they came back to take payment they didn't say a single word.Food was fine, a little stingy on the meat for the price and by no means made up for the service.
