Los Moros in York

Amazing food and atmosphere! Between two of us we shared one large plate and five small plates and were completely stuffed. Every single dish was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. If you are in York this is definitely a place to visit!

I had some of the most delicious food I have eaten for a long time in this stylish, yet laid back restaurant, which serves North African cuisine. The cassoulet was rich and tasty and the cheesecake with turkish delight was outstanding.

Fabulous! No other way to describe This place. The food, service and ambiance. Everything was simply fabulous! We ordered the chicken, eggplant dip and sausages for appetizer. The chicken was just cooked so perfectly! And the lemon mayonnaise that it comes with war so tasty my son would dipping his flatbread in it! Ordered one each of the cassoulet, lamb shanks, braised beef and chicken tagine. Again everything was cooked to perfection especially the chicken (I keep mentioning this because so many places overcook chicken breast)! The cassoulet was on the spicier side but yummy.

Luckily got a table on a Saturday night at this unassuming but lovely little restaurant in old part of York.We ordered 6 different North African small tapas plates and each one was well flavoured and really enjoyable.Prices were reasonable and we finished off with a lovely mint tea.Prices were average. Would visit again and maybe next time try the main courses.

Never write reviews but this had to be done!! Absolutely stunning little restaurant in the centre of York.. hands down the best food I have EVER eaten.Very cosy and the staff are all incredibly lovely and welcoming, a very chill environment!Would 100% recommend - will definitely be coming here again.Thank you for your service all x

Utterly delicious. Went with my family and everything we had was outstanding. The staff were also perfectly attentive and deserve a big shout out.

Very good food and service located right in the Shambles. Highly recommended.Had the ZFC chicken - great portion and very delicious. The Falafel was generous and great as wellThe garlic bread was delicious sourdough with very subtle garlic flavour.The king prawns were big but lacking in flavour. It was also not deveined - a bit disappointing.Overall, a great experience and highly recommended

Wow. Just wow!When in York and you stumble across a restaurant, with amazing food, and super friendly staff, you just say wow.Maybe you order a tad bit too much food, but it was totally worth it. I would say it was probably worth the visit to York alone.🌟Firstly, they where very dog friendly, and didn't mind us bringing 3 dogs in.🌟Secondly they where very professional when dealing with a nut allergy.🌟Thirdly service was top class. Friendly, professional and welcoming.🌟Food, was absolutely top notch.🌟Thank you for giving us a wonderful experience.

In my view this is the best restaurant in York. Trendy North African (Moroccan etc.) restaurants with a compact menu full of interesting, punchy dishes. Everything we tried was tasty, cooked perfectly and full of interesting flavours. The Sea Bass main was exceptional and we really liked the starters of the croquettes and the spicy Merguez sausages. The restaurant is nicely decorated, North African style, its comfortable and fun to be in, with indoor and outdoor seating. The service is professional and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit and we will certainly come back again. Highly recommended.

Fresh, tasty and very good value. Friendly service which is always a bonus.Set in the heart of York, you can't go far wrong for a filling lunch time treat as the tasty wraps at Los Moro's. We tried both the lamb and chicken offerings and were impressed by the taste and freshness of the ingredients. I thought at first that the price was a little steep for a wrap but given the location, taste and amount you are served I think that it was well worth the money. Recommended - definitely.
