Really nice food, gorgeous cocktails very fast and friendly service, If I come back to York I would definitely eat there again.

On arrival we were seen to our table and orders taken. 2 out of 3 drinks arrived 20 minutes later... we had to ask for the third drink as it just never arrived. Food didn't arrive until we had been waiting 90 minutes!!! And that was either lukewarm or cold. Again only 2 peoples food arrived without the naan breads and when that had been eaten the nan breads and the third meal arrived, by which time we had nothing to accompany the bread . Completely haphazard and no apology for the extremely long wait and disorderly service. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a more than disappointing evening.

We visited on NYE and were excited to try as I'd seen so many good reviews. On arrival we were seated and then had our order taken fairly swiftly, sadly that was the quickest service of the evening. We could see some sort of confusion at the electronic till where our server had 3 other members of staff helping her to sort something out.We ended up waiting at least 40 mins before our drinks arrived (our popadoms arrived just 10 mins before) we eventually got our starters after an hour of being there but no cutlery or plates. I then wanted another cocktail and when that arrived was told categorically that I was not allowed another cocktail because they'd run out of cocktail mix. I then saw a few mins later that another table ordered cocktails and they got theirs - ok then.The fun began when our mains arrived, mine and my partners came but my parents arrived without rice. They quickly asked the server for rice and she then told us there had beena mix up but they would order some rice. I get that it was a busy evening and I'm not a chef but surely rice is usually on the go in a sort of rice cooker? Needless to say my parents didn't want their dishes to get cold and so they just shared my bowl of rice and 15 mins later the rice turned up and we just turned it away. At this point we wanted out and just asked for the bill. They didn't offer us any goodwill for all the mix ups which was sad because I think we would have been a bit more forgiving.The food was actually really nice and I will say that yes I appreciate that there may have been staff shortages but it just seemed like the servers were a bit disconnected. I noticed other tables having similar mix ups so it may have just been a bad night. Also, if someone takes your order and then isn't sure if they've forgotten something then just go and ask the customer, most reasonble people will understand.

Amazing NYE curries! We had the chicken tikka masala and the lamb rogan josh and both were delicious! Washed down with a mango cider. Really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend!

Nice restaurant and bar near to the river. Good food, good vegan selection,good service but bad beers choices. We'd assumed a more varied selection with the name and the advertisement. Anyway excellent but just improve you craft side of your name and you've got it

What a fab little find. The food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Can't fault the service or price.

Really liked the food, ambience is nice and staff is friendly. They have got the online timelines wrong. They open @5:30 pm please take a note. Food have got good flavours, must try is Pav Bhaji! Yoghurt chart was also very good.

Outstanding food 😋❤👌🏼 Incredibly happy with range, price, kids menu (mild curry was a big hit with anti-curry pair!) as was mango sorbet!Presentation excellent & taste was exceptional. Obvious the chefs know what they're doing! Had to take some home as we were full!Thanks so much, we will be regulars!

Very nice food especially the spinach curry and snack! My Indian friends invited me to have a dinner and it's my first time to taste it. Really good and after that I invited my friends to come here three times already.
