Middle Feast in York

Absolutely amazing experience- the size and vibes of the place really felt like a Lebanese restaurant. The staff were all super friendly and as soon as we entered the restaurant there was excellent service. We got Arabic tea, some chicken wing starters and vine leaves and shawarma for the main. The sizes of the portions were really good too.

Welcoming staff who were both friendly and happy throughout the meal. Freshly made, tasty food mainly based around the kebab. Good value for money, clean premises, tasty food and happy staff make for 5 stars.

Lovely chicken Shawarma, staff very nice, owner even wrapped half of the shawarma up for us to take home.Due to such big portions.Nice to be served by such nice friendly staff even thou they had probably had a very busy day.Thankyou for your service.I will definitely be recommending this place.

Really delicious fresh food. There's a couple of tables inside and it has a really nice relaxed atmosphere. Child friendly too. Two members of staff, Jacob and Liz, were particularly friendly and gave excellent service. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in York!

Nice food, friendly staff. Place to take food away and eat in. Coffee availible. Toilet on site. Wraps and kebabs well prepared. Highly recommended A+

Absolutely delicious food cannot fault the food as for the staff wow the manager stroke owner amazing but the rest of the staff not good we ordered our food and it took nearly half an hour for them to bring out the food they served their the regulars giving our meal to them and then when the food came it was the wrong food I had told the person I was allergic to chicken and unfortunately they brought us chicken instead of lamb and almost blamed the mistake on ourselves as I said amazing food just poor staff and treating their regulars before normal customers

Unbelievable food and generous portions. The best shawarma I've ever had in the UK and I get about. I had the lamb and chicken mixed with chips. The chips had an amazing crunch and soft inside texture while the salad was not shy. Everything from salted pickles and red cabbage, olives, chillies, everything blew my mind. We also got Turkish/Egyptian tea, a really nice pot with mint and cardamom. This should really be on a list of hidden gems in York.

Fantastic customer service and some of the best food we have had in a while, the Bakhlava is a must. This place is amazing and highly recommended, though seating is limited.

food was really DELICIOUS highly recommend the chicken and halloumi shwarma wrap we had! loads of choice and great location! only took a star off because we had to clean our own table and so did a few other customers. toilets (one toilet) nice and clean :)
