You can eat in, and the vegan choice is excellent. Great chippy, and the same is said by those who I have been with and eaten the non vegan options! Very welcoming too.

Nothing is too much trouble, turned up at 8.45pm ordered X5 fish and chips and chicken strips all cooked fresh. Also eaten in out the cold. Thanks for your hospitality 😁

Came to york for the weekend and must say these were the best fish and chips Iv had in a long time, and the guy behind the counter and lovely and interactive with everybody , would 100% recommended

First time in many years that this shop has given me poor food. Food cooked in dirty fat that should have been changed ages ago. Only given 2 stars as the lady who served me was polite, the other was not.

Mr. Chippy, thank you for being the only place in town offering a vegan option! It was delish. A bit heavy and probably will use as an option on special junk days, but amazing still.

Bought a cheeseburger for around £6. Part of the beef was red, and the cheese was just grated cheddar. Overall a very bland flavour. Probably better to stick to the fish and chips, but a fish and chip shop should should still do a decent burger.

Genuinely cannot rate this place high enough, the chips were seriously amazing, we had cheesy chips and it was a lovely mature cheddar on top. The mushy peas were delicious as well, seriously some of the best chips about!

Got myself some saveloy and chips, which is apparently more of a southern England thing, so I was pleased to find it here in York. The saveloy was decent, but I've definitely had better in the south. Chips were awesome! Great flavour and just as greasy as I wanted. Service was friendly and quick. Will definitely be going back to try their fish and chips.

I went here with my parents ordered calamari, prawns and fries. The calamari batter was nice crispy but the calamari was chewy. Prawns were nice. The potion, it said 10pcs each but we just got 8 per portion. We would point that out but we went to the minster gardens to eat.
