10/10If you want value for your money this is the place.The uncle that cooks is an insane chef and he's taught the people around him well.It's 10/10 every time.

Small place with nice intimate informal feel. Great decor. Attentive service and moat importantly - delicious food and very generous portions!Tip - when you order Pad Gra Pao and they ask you how spicy you like it.....don't say "spicy" - ask me how I know....

This is the worst place to eat. I had asked for pad Thai and had to give the dish back as they had added ketchup when I had asked them not to add ketchup and instead of eggs to add tofu and both times they added ketchup despite me asking not to. They still charged me for food. The guy was very rude and was really talking non sense and saying things like are you pai Thai chef,how much do you pay for meal in your town. I didn't eat the food as gave it away after one bite and they charged my friend (77year old lady) for the meal that I didn't eat without her knowing when I was talking to them. They were very rude. I wouldn't ever recommend going here

I have always loved Thai food since I was little and since discovering Mommy Thai I have never been disappointed! Authentic Thai food, amazing flavours, super friendly staff and great decor & atmosphere! You just can't go wrong here! My new favourite spot to eat 😋

Ordered takeaway. There a few of good Thai restaurants in and around York but few deliver. For my first order I got a variety of starters, soup and pad Thai with crispy chicken. Pork skewers, spring rolls and fish cakes were excellent as was the soup. Pad Thai can sometimes be a bit bland but not this one. Would highly recommend this place and look forward to ordering again, especially as the prices are all very reasonable for the quality.

Food was lovely, real shame that nearly half the order we paid for was missing. Ruined our experience and won't order from here again because of this. Rest of the food is been delivered 40 minutes later.*edit - the missing food arrived with 2 spring rolls & 2 pieces of chicken satay. Very disappointed. Do not recommend. Not worth the money OR the wait.

The place overall is quite small, the menu has a very big variety to choose from. The food took a while to come, they were very busy with take away orders and it is a family run place. The food was absolutely fantastic!!!! The best pad Thai I ever had. The portion sizes are good and the prices are very good as well. Very strongly recommend it.

My friend admitted he has never had Thai food before so I couldn't stand for that and looked around for the best place to take him, that happened to be Mommy Thai.There are only around 6 tables in the place. So best to book ahead. Food is incredible, some of the best Thai I have had.We all shared the starters about so we could try some of each I enjoyed the pork skewers the best as the sauce was an umami tangy flavour.I had chicken Phad Thai for my main and shared with my partner as she has the duck (can't remember the name of the main she had, just that it was duck!)I think my friend is now a Thai convert as he loved it too.Even for all this food, the price was incredibly reasonable. Only £75 for four mains, starters, and drinks!

Dinner was amazing. Went hungry but after starters and mains we were defeated. Great food. Probs best to book a table as very popular
