Not sure why I've never reviewed this place before. Lovely service, really good value, great food overall, five stars!!!

Good food, good price, lovely service

I've been coming here every Friday lunch time for the last few weeks and never had anything to complain about. The food is tasty, well priced and we'll portioned and the staff are all really friendly and welcoming. Excellent place to grab a quick lunch.

I've been going to this sandwich shop for about 15 years as our railway offices were just behind the shop. The office block is now apartments but wouldn't go anywhere else. Best sandwich shop in York👍

Lovely little cafe that we came across when desperately try to find somewhere for a drink and a light bite. Lovely friendly and efficient staff, pleasant food. Thank you.

My wife and I called in for a snack after arriving in York for a few days on Tuesday (5th October). We found that the menu offerings were ideal for us and for breakfasts. The staff are extremely friendly, efficient and attentive and provided us, and our friends, with breakfasts on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.It's clearly a popular place because within a few minutes of our first visit to the empty cafe, a queue built up to the outside (about 12 customers) for takeaway snacks and drinks.On our 3rd visit a health inspector arrived and we noticed later that a 5* hygiene certificate had been awarded.The cafe is only open Mon-Fri 8:30 to 2:30, but is well worth a visit.

Loved it. Good ingredients make for tasty food. Service with a smile. Had tried to go back the following day, but now know closed at weekends. That's a shame.

The menu may not be the most varied in the world, but you can be assured that what you get is first class. Served with a smile and atmosphere to be proud of. Well worth a visit and tried and tested for years.Whilst they do not shout it from the rooftops the coffee is pretty good too.
