Came to visit here based on the reviews and a love of wine and cheese platters. Trust me you need to visit here. It’s absolutely amazing!! Staff are friendly accommodating and knowledgeable. The venue is warm and trendy. The food is incredible. And the staff give perfect recommendations. A must visit when in York. Take my word and visit this place!!!!!!!! ❤️

We've been here several times and it always delivers for both quality of food and wine and service.During our visit we tried the deli platters along with a small selection of the small plates. All of the food is of exceptional quality and the menu is versatile enough to allow you to try as much as you wish.You're spoilt for choice for drinks and we had the sparkling wine flight which is a selection of 3 different champagne/sparkling wines along with a couple of additional glasses of recommended red and white wines from the extensive menu.The staff even brought a free glass of sparkling for my Mum who was celebrating her birthday.Make sure you book.as it does get busy and, if thr weather is fine, the outdoor seating offers the benefit of sunshine too.Staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.If you like good food and wine, this is a must do in York.

My partner and I choose Pairings to celebrate our 5yr anniversary yesterday.We had contacted the bar in advance to arrange a table and took them up on their recommendation to try the premium pairings experience as a special way to celebrate the day.We had an absolutely fantastic time! Our server was Ellie, who was very friendly and welcoming and was clearly very knowledgeable about the wine she was giving us. She shared information about the regions where the wines were made, the different winemaking methods and how/why each wine was selected to be served with each course. The food was just as exceptional as the wine and more generous than we’d anticipated. We had the table for 2.5hrs and the experience lasted for most of this time.We cannot praise this place enough - well worth a visit if you are a wine and food lover, and the service is second to none.

We had the most wonderful evening here using a voucher we had for the fine wine experience and we also added the deli platter which had been carefully selected to go with the wines we were tasting.Our Sommelier was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and we could have chatted with him about wine all night. Every single wine we tasted was incredible and we were so grateful to be emailed a list of the different wines and their profiles so we can order them again and get a few bottles for home too.A really romantic and fun experience that we will definitely be doing again and buying as gifts. I would love to sit outside in Summer with a glass and a small plate as well. This place is a real gem!

Visited here while in York for a couple of days. I had booked and very glad I did as it was busy and that was on a Tuesday afternoon. The staff were great and very knowledgeable in helping us choose our wines. The sharing platter we chose was amazing. I highly recommend if you are in York.

Friendly service. WE did the wine & cheese pairing. Gorgeous cheese, delicious wine. A little over priced I felt it was closer to £20 in value as opposed to £25 but never the less we really enjoyed it and would go again.

Myself and wife just visited Pairings on Friday, what an experience! The food, absolutely incredible, would highly recommend the Truffle Cheddar & Hummus! Then the wine, absolutely delicious. Have already recommended Pairings to multiple friends & family members... We already can't wait to return. Top drawer service, 5*

Absolutely loved it here! The guy serving us was amazing (sorry forgot his name) he was so knowledgeable and friendly. The nibbles and wine were so so good and paired perfectly! I definitely recommend visiting here. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are so friendly and accommodating.The prices are decent aswell which is a bonus!

Had seen how fantastic the reviews were beforehand and we still couldn’t believe how outstanding it was. Amazing food and wine. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Will be visiting again when we come back to York.

We booked the premium experience & it was amazing worth every penny. Great place we would have not found. Definitely worth booking as full & had a waiting list. The experience we had was amazing from the moment we entered. Our host was Megan, she was brilliant, a great balance between detail & information. The food we had was lovely & the cheese & crackers was some of the best I'd had. The wines of course we're lovely. We also got the food & wine information emailed afterwards which was great. Dog friendly also. Highly recommend, would definitely go back. Our highlight of our York visit.
