Food is incredible, nothing else really needs to be said. Staff are lovely and cater to all needs, ensuring allergies are known before any food is cooked. Would highly recommend and am gutted we found this so late in our time in York

Very nice place. I had the eggs Benedict with bacon and my girlfriend got the Cumberland eggs Benedict. Good portion size and quality ingredients. Good service and a nice atmosphere. Staff worked hard in the heat!Well recommended and will return on our next trip to York. Thanks guys.

Stunning. Truly excellent food, great value and a real sense of character and really friendly staff who are Good At What They Do. For example, I wasn't sure if it was table or counter service (it's table), so I asked (I'm dim that way sometimes.) The next people through the door were passed that information straight away. Colour me impressed. I shall be back next time I'm in York.Pro tip: it's good, so it can be busy. If there's a queue outside, do yourself a favour and wait in it.

Highly recommend! We had to queue for a little while on Saturday Morning (10am) but it was definitely worth it! All the food was delicious and it had a wide range of options available!

We have visited Pig & Pastry several times and never failed to enjoy it. Always busy, but we’ve never had to wait long for a table, either in the busy interior or on the heated patio. Good natured staff, happy customers & a lovely, innovative menu. Good food, sensibly priced & a fantastic atmosphere. And the sign in the toilet (with Stephen Fry reading from Harry Potter) just caps it all!

Really enjoyed lunch, grilled halloumi & roasted peppers in a semi, sourdough bun with salad side. Plus 2 oatmilk cappuccinos! Excellent food, good service and reasonable price

I bloody loved breakfast here. It's not very often that I finish my plate and immediately want to eat it all over again without it being hunger related but this was a such a banging eggs Benedict that I wanted it again, straight away. We will be back, for sure!

Absolutely loved this place so much. From the food to the staff. We visited York for a couple of days and we loved this place so much that we had breakfast there both days. The staff are warm and friendly. And the cafe was cozy. The food was always cooked perfectly and the coffee was great. This is a must in York.

Great place. Went here for breakfast. A good amount of options available, lots of veggie options. The coffee was great and the staff were lovely and helpful.I wish we had been here for lunch as I would have got one of the amazing looking desserts they have at the counter

Fantastic brunch! Perfectly poached eggs with mushrooms on toast. Portions were a great size and there were plenty of options to cater for all dietary needs. Staff were friendly and efficient and the inside was clean and followed safe COVID measures. Absolutely would recommend and would go back!
