Pizza Express in York

Really nice interior, very comfortable chairs and nice tables. Staff were also very nice. Very good menu choices. The pasta was very good, and the pizzas were very hearty. The pizza bases were a but too thin resulting in a flimsy pizza for the romanas, but the taste made up for this.

Great food, really tasty. Only gripe was the service, food came out at different times, especially the deserts.

Lovely place. Good food but a little let down when we went by the use of our pizza express app. Was entitled to some freebie’s but never received anything due to the order being the wrong size of portion etc and not eligible for the offer

Nice place but it can feel a bit like your in a canteen when it's busy. Definitely not an intimate dining experience. The pizza is excellent however. 👌

Nice restaurant. Love the decor! The food and service was good. Starters could have been a bit more exciting (had the garlic bread with mozzarella but was a bit bland). Plenty of gluten free and vegan options on the menu if needed. Kids meal offer is great - one of the best I've seen from a restaurant chain.

Love the food, the ambiance and best staff around. The truffle and mushroom pizza was unexpectedly good! Hope to return if I visit York again

Really lovely building overlooking the river. Customer service was excellent. I find Pizza Express pizzas tend to go cold quite quickly and the base gets a bit chewy. Otherwise a lively visit. They have their own pale ale now, which was quite nice.

Lovely venue, food ok, pizza went cold very quickly. The supervisor on duty chose to chat to one supposes were his friends for 15.minutes whilst other staff were hard at it. It didn't seem right.

Lovely building. Really pleased with the vegan salad bowl. Was very busy and plenty of tables weren’t cleared. They were turning people away saying they were fully booked but saw quite a few vacant tables.

Lovely food, attentive staff, nice setting. Prices just a little bit steep but no major complaints.
