Lovely little pub in centre of York right near attractions was very friendly the food was fantastic main meal well presented loads on plate coffee served was excellent good wine overall good place to visit and eat

We came upon this wonderful pub on a visit to historic York and were delighted we did. We chose the large seating area by the River Ouse as it was lunchtime. The service was first class by the staff who made feel welcome and the food was lovely and well presented. No hesitation in recommending Plonkers for a meal and a drink.

Quaint little bar, and one you may be fortunate to stumble across (if you're not aware its there).I'd strongly advise booking a table though if it's somewhere you're aware of, as there was standing room only at the bar when I dropped in.Whilst I didn't eat, the food being served looked amazing.

Birthday brunch with my wife. Friendly welcome. We had the English Breakfast and was not disappointed. Value for money. And also great coffee. Great and friendly staff with a smile on their face.

I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan carvery here today, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was catered to and everyone else said their food was delicious, we were all served very generous portion sizes. The staff were all lovely and super helpful and the ambience of the place was perfect. I would definitely recommend Plonker's to visit!!

Another must visit. Wine,cocktails and real ale together with quality bar food.You sense the history of York and the resilience of the staff against the flood onslaughts over the years.Bravo! The staff make this bar a delight,always smiling and laughing.Highly recommended
