Have stayed a couple of times at this one. Hotel is clean but a bit tired. Now the worst part about it is that the building retains a lot of heat on one side, so trying to sleep in a 32C room without any air con or proper air circulation made for a very uncomfortable stay to the point I felt Ill during the whole stay. Don’t stay here during warm weather either, it just makes it worse. Even when it was cool outside it was unbearable inside with the heat. This needs to be sorted out.Food is good. Room tidy and clean as you would expect.

Great staff but poor food and bad rooms.Reception were polite, helpful, and efficient. The dining area staff were also great. The bathroom didn't vent air properly so it had a build up of mold. Various fittings were loose or in disrepair. The bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned. However, the shower was good and reached temperature quickly.Like most premier inns the pillows are thin and don't provide any support, however the bed was comfy. The biggest problem was a constant combination of different electrical noises. The vent system despite being totally ineffective at getting rid of humidity was loud and turned on and off. The heating made clicking and buzzing sounds. And there were other buzzing sounds. These sounds made getting to sleep difficult.Overall there are better places to stay in York.

As with all Premier Inn's.Clean, spacious room, large tv, excellent bathroom, all nicely maintained & with friendly helpful staff. All makes for a pleasant stay. There's a well stocked co-op nearby & a very agreeable fish & chip shop. Not to mention a large pub alongside the hotel. Not as good as being in town, but for business travelers it's most acceptable.

This was the hotel that changed my wife's mind about Premier Inn. We booked late- but got a fair price. The room was fine, additional pillows were already in the room, paid a supplement for one of the nights to get and evening meal & drink and the full breakfast in the morning. Overall a really good experience. Will book earlier in the future.

Very old and tired. In dire need of a refit.Raised issue that the toilet didn't flush/refilled very slowly. This meant you had to wait 5 mins between uses in order to be able to flush. Not ideal with children after a long drive. The water flow on the taps and shower were fine, so it wasn't the pressure caused by 'being full', as suggested by the receptionist; it wasnt fully booked as rooms were still available! The back-light on the dressing mirror didn't work either, so not ideal given the poor lighting. Its an old building, but the stairs seemed unsteady and the floors so bouncy and creaky left you feeling very uneasy as they were uneven. Could hear the othe guests in rooms across the corridor and backing on to the room.Ultimately, we wouldn't return to this Premier Inn location.

The rooms were ok. I like staying at premier inns but this one wasn't up to the usual standard of the ones I've stayed in.We were greeted with a stale smell of sweat and the bathroom shower curtain smelt like it hadn't been washed in a while. The sink tap has really low water pressure and the backlit mirror in our room didn't work. The Aircon system didn't appear to work and the temperature remianed at 21 degrees no matter what we tried to turn it up or down to.Staff were really friendly which is always good. The breakfast was really good as always in a premier Inn so I'm glad that didn't let us down. Evening meal was ribs which were tasty and a good size.

Room was very dated and is in need of a refurbishment!I have stayed in a few Premier Inns and they are usually very clean, and well presented. But this hotel is in some need of a good clean and an update. Bathroom smelt like a pub toilet, shower was very unclean.Bed was very comfortable and the bedding was clean or I would have asked to change rooms.I thought 2x tea/coffee in the room is very cheap- paying nearly £90 for a room I'd hope for a few more. Toilet roll was about a quarter full, so pretty much empty and only 1 large towel in a double room. I wouldnt say staff was welcoming or very polite either. Considering its attached to the Beefeater pub, where the staff in there are all very welcoming and helpful, they should maybe share the staff to give a better customer service level.Overall pretty poor stay in the hotel side of things unfortunately.

Very impressed went for one night for my daughters 40th. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely plenty of choice friendly staff and they left chocolate in her room lovely gesture. Would stay again.

Spent a week here, friendly staff, comfortable room with plenty of tea and coffee refills for your room. The Beefeater next door serves a top not buffet breakfast too.You will find everything you need here on a budget.

Well, it did us for 3 nights so that’s a plus.Room was actually really clean, and the pub next door did really nice food.Staff on reception were friendly, and they bought us up more pillows when we asked for it so that’s nice. The area though, quiet as it is. Kinda makes it feel creepy. Because, it’s next to the road, but where it is, it just gives that creepy vibe off.Yeah apart from that, in the area we needed to be in. We didn’t try the fish and chip shop though.I looked at the negative reviews and decided, you people probably didn’t have as much luck as we did.Speaking of the room: yes, they had ac, the tv in there worked fine, WI-FI dropped out occasionally but that’s probably due to the area. The bathroom was clean, beds were comfortable as they should be.So well done guys, we’d come back again :’)And the breakfast.. it was.. actually really nice so well done.Honestly recommend this one to people if they want to go somewhere quiet.Big win from me so well done ☺️
