Pret a Manger in York

Extremely unfriendly girl on the counter. Had an accident with a spilled drink. Too long a story to post here but she is probably the most despicable person I’ve ever had in a shop experience

Yet again someone hogging a four table next to the window on their laptop with no drink or food! Broken toilet and no light in the passageway so, stood in the dark waiting for the remaining toilet! Next person entered and used the switch for the light and the cubicle light was turned off! Not acceptable.!Food and coffee very good but, pull your finger out for the other issues please!

Amazing value if you have a subscription, staff are nice and great place to study/chat

Don't know what has happened to the coffee here!! Asked for dry cappuccino got a pint of warm milk!! Bleughhhh, no colour, no coffee taste. That's it, no more!!

Bought a salmon salad. Food was not fresh had very bad upset tummy. Won't eat there again

Lovely fresh food as always, not been to this particular one before. Everything fresh,tasty sandwich fillings and good choice of everything. Great coffee that isn't bitter. Very clean and efficient.

Clean, great place, as always. Fantastic customer service, price level above the average which is appreciated as the food quality is always outstanding, always tasty and fresh and of course if it's more expensive, it attracts people with more money. Highly appreciated place to eat and relax in every city I've been so far.

Unfriendly customer service. Refused to change order even though I had not paid yet and was also very unfriendly when she refused to warm up my croissant for me.But the croissant tasted good. Place was very crowded though.

Located in the center of York, right next to the market this branch is my go to working in the city center. When the weather is nice and it's sunny, there can be a bit of a wait, but otherwise there are no problems. Staff are very courteous and with the Pret subscription, unbeatable value for money.

It gets too crowded and there is no attention paid in the cleanliness of the shop. Nevertheless, the building itself is really nice, the decoration is good, and the view from the first floor is also good, the location is lovely. The earl grey tea I ordered was nice. But it needs much more work to be done to be a good coffee shop.
