Shambles Kitchen in York

It looks fancier than it tastes.So the famous Shambles Kitchen fairy fairy sandwich!The sandwich is good. But the bread in the bottom is very soggy when we get there. It doesn’t taste spicy at all.Don’t think we would like waste another £8 on this sandwich again.

Shambles Kitchen were the dream caterer for our wedding in July 2021! They provided such fun, in the food and in the service, we were so delighted with everything. Our guests loved the food, we couldn’t have dreamt of better! Thank you again for everything!

Shambles Kitchen in the Little Shambles is the place to go for an absolutely banging sandwich in York. The Pulled Pork ‘Harry trotter’ and the Beef Reuben ‘Dick Terpin’ are both exceptional, however, be prepared to have a little nap after.

Shambles Kitchen did our wedding catering in September this year. Having to make a catering choice seemed a difficult task and we were just not blown away by anyone until I spoke to Simon from Shambles Kitchen via a referral. From the first second I could totally feel Simon’s passion for food which was so important to us. What we requested was not what Shambles Kitchen are known for (we requested an Italian theme), but the result could not have been any better. The tasting they offered to us was both fun and gave us so much confidence for our big day. On the wedding day, they did an incredible job and I still have guests telling me how good the food was. Simon was a delight to collaborate with, communication was perfect and his energy shone through as did the rest of his teams. Couldn’t recommend any higher. Thank you again ☺️

Amazing quality street food. We had "Harry Trotter" pulled pork, juicy, tender and big portion, just right sauce. If you are foodie, I think this is a must-go when you visit the Shambles!

Ideal sandwich joint. Totally happy to pay £8 for a superb handmade sandwich with quality ingredients and condiments made in house. Rapid and friendly service. Always happy with a couple decent pickles in my sammy.

Not just a sandwich shop but incredible wedding caterers too! Absolutely blown away with Simon's menu creativity. Our guests are still raving about how good the food was. Perfectly executed, perfectly timed with our day and all round brilliant team to deal with. Highly highly recommend.

This was our first time in York. We had pulled pork and Beef Barbacoa. It’s just so good and so fresh !! We went back again before leaving York. Staffs were very friendly!!Hope you could open a branch in London one day 🤤❤️

Staff were welcoming and friendly and possibly the best part of our visit. We had the meaty special. It looked beautiful but the meat was dry and overly salty. :( the portion was huge for £6 but wish it tasted better.Went back for the Pulled Pork burger £6.50. Changed my review to 5 stars.
